Look at the NFL schedule

Who plays next week in the NFL? The NFL schedule is out, and we now know who plays who and when. Here’s a look at the full schedule for Week 1 of the 2020 NFL season.

Find out who is playing who

In the NFL, there are 16 regular season games. Each team plays each of the other teams in their conference twice and all of the teams in the other conference once. The regular season starts in September and ends in December. In January, the playoffs start and the best teams in each conference compete to see who goes to the Super Bowl.

The NFL is split into two conferences: the American Football Conference (AFC) and the National Football Conference (NFC). Each conference has 16 teams. The AFC is further divided into 4 divisions: East, West, North, and South. The NFC is also divided into 4 divisions: East, West, North, and South.

The NFL changes its schedule every year. The order of who plays who is based on a number of factors including how a team did the previous year (their record), if they made it to the playoffs, if they won their division or conference, and what time slot they are scheduled to play in on television.

Look at the records of the teams playing

The mathematical formula is simple – the team with the better record plays at home. In the event of a tie, a coin toss determines who will play at home. The team that wins the coin toss can choose whether to play at home or away.
