The players to watch
It’s always fun to keep up with your favorite basketball players, and during the off-season, it can be hard to remember who’s on which team. The NBA Season is finally here, which means it’s time to start keeping track of your favorite players again. But with so many talented individuals in the league, it can be hard to decide who you should be watching out for. Here are some of the players who are sure to make an impact this season:
Jimmy Butler (Minnesota Timberwolves): After being traded from the Chicago Bulls last season, Butler had a breakout year with the Timberwolves, averaging 22.2 points per game. He’s a versatile player who can score, rebound, and defend, and he should only get better now that he’s had a year to gel with his new teammates.
Paul George (Oklahoma City Thunder): George was another big name that changed teams last season, as he was traded from the Indiana Pacers to the Thunder. He didn’t miss a step in his first year with Oklahoma City, averaging 21.9 points per game while leading the team in steals (2.0 per game). George is one of the best two-way players in the league and is always a threat to put up a big game.
LeBron James (Los Angeles Lakers): James made headlines this off-season when he decided to leave the Cavaliers and sign with the Lakers. It will be interesting to see how he adjusts to playing with a young core of players, but there’s no doubt that he is still one of the best players in the world. James averaged 27.5 points per game last season and should continue to put up big numbers in his first year with Los Angeles.
Giannis Antetokounmpo (Milwaukee Bucks): Antetokounmpo had a breakout year last season and established himself as one of the best players in the league. He averaged 26.9 points per game and 10 rebounds per game while leading the Bucks to their first playoff appearance since 2001. Antetokounmpo is only getting better and should be one of the top players to watch this season
The match-ups to focus on
