The Current NBA Playoff Picture

The current NBA playoff picture is looking very tight as we approach the end of the season. There are a few teams that have clinched their spot in the playoffs, but the majority of the teams are still fighting for a chance to make it to the post-season. With only a few weeks left in the regular season, every game counts and every team is giving it their all.

Who’s In

As the 2019-2020 NBA season comes to a close, the playoff picture is becoming clearer. So far, the Milwaukee Bucks, Los Angeles Lakers, and Toronto Raptors have clinched the top seeds in their respective conferences. The defending champion Raptors are currently second in the East behind the Bucks, but they have clinched a spot in the postseason.

The race for the final few playoff spots is still ongoing. In the East, the Indiana Pacers, Miami Heat, and Philadelphia 76ers are currently battling it out for seeds 4-6. The Brooklyn Nets and Orlando Magic are also still in contention, but they will need to make up some ground to catch up to the other teams.

In the West, the Houston Rockets, Denver Nuggets, Utah Jazz, Oklahoma City Thunder, Dallas Mavericks, and Los Angeles Clippers are all fighting for seeds 3-8. The Memphis Grizzlies and Portland Trail Blazers are also technically still alive, but they would need to win nearly every game for the rest of the season to have a chance at making the playoffs.

The Raptors are the favorites to win this matchup, as they have one of the best records in the NBA. The 76ers are a young team that is full of talent, but they have struggled to find consistency this season.

The second round matchup in the Eastern Conference will be between the Milwaukee Bucks and the Boston Celtics. The Bucks are the top seed in the conference, and they have been one of the best teams in the NBA all season long. The Celtics are a young and talented team that has been inconsistent at times this season.

The NBA Finals

The Golden State Warriors and the Cleveland Cavaliers are set to face off in the NBA Finals. This is the fourth consecutive year that these two teams have met in the Finals.
