Introduction

The National Football League (NFL) is a professional American football league consisting of 32 teams, divided equally between the National Football Conference (NFC) and the American Football Conference (AFC). The NFL is one of the four major professional sports leagues in North America, and the highest professional level of American football in the world.

NFL Teams

There are many teams in the NFL and each one has their own fans. Some people like to watch the game because they are interested in the players, while others like to watch for the team spirit. Some people even like to watch because they are fans of the sport. Today, we will take a look at some of the NFL teams that are playing today.

AFC East

The AFC East is a division of the National Football League’s American Football Conference. It was created before the 1970 season. There are currently four teams in the division: the Buffalo Bills, the Miami Dolphins, the New England Patriots, and the New York Jets.

The Bills began play in 1960 as a charter member of the American Football League. The Dolphins joined the AFL in 1966 as an expansion team. The Patriots joined the AFL in 1970 as an expansion team. The Jets began play in 1960 as a charter member of the AFL.

AFC North

The AFC North is one of the eight divisions of the American Football Conference (AFC) in the National Football League (NFL). It was created prior to the 1970 season as a results of the AFL–NFL merger, and contains four teams, all of whom are based in Mid-Atlantic States.

Since the NFL expanded to 32 teams with the addition of the Houston Texans in 2002, it has been a four team division. The current divisional alignment was introduced in 2002. The AFC North is currently home to two NFL Historic franchises:
-The Pittsburgh Steelers: One of the most successful franchises in NFL history with 6 Super Bowl wins.
-The Baltimore Ravens: Won Super Bowl XLVII in 2012.

AFC South

The AFC South is a division of the National Football League (NFL)’s American Football Conference (AFC). It was created on November 8, 2001, when the NFL realigned its 30 teams into eight divisions. Four teams were added to the AFC Central (Bengals, Browns, Ravens, and Steelers) to form the AFC South.

In total, there have been 12 different teams that have played in the AFC South since its inception. The current AFC South consists of the Houston Texans, Indianapolis Colts, Jacksonville Jaguars, and Tennessee Titans. The Texans have won the divisional title a total of six times (2011–12, 2015–16), while the Colts have won it five times (2003–07), and the Jaguars three times (1999, 2017–18).

AFC West

The AFC West is a division of the National Football League (NFL)’s American Football Conference (AFC). The division comprises four teams: the Denver Broncos, Kansas City Chiefs, Los Angeles Chargers, and Oakland Raiders.

In the divisions’ history, it has been home to some of the NFL’s most storied rivalries, chief among them being the “Raiders-Chiefs Rivalry” and the “Broncos-Chargers Rivalry”.

NFC East

The NFC East is one of the most competitive divisions in the NFL. The Dallas Cowboys, Philadelphia Eagles, Washington Redskins and New York Giants are all perennial contenders for the division title. These four teams have a rich history of success, and there are always big games when they play each other.

The Cowboys are the most successful team in the division, with five Super Bowl titles to their name. The Eagles have also been very successful, winning three Super Bowls. The Redskins have won two Super Bowls, and the Giants have won one.

Since its inception, the NFC North has been one of the most competitive divisions in the NFL. The Packers have won the most division championships (13), followed by the Bears (9), Vikings (6), and Lions (4).

NFC South

The NFC South currently consists of four teams: the Atlanta Falcons, Carolina Panthers, New Orleans Saints, and Tampa Bay Buccaneers. All four teams have won the Super Bowl at least once. The Falcons have appeared in Super Bowl XXXIII and Super Bowl LI, while the Saints have appeared in Super Bowl XLIV. The Panthers have appeared in Super Bowl XXXVIII, and the Buccaneers won Super Bowl XXXVII.

NFC West

NFC West consists of the Seattle Seahawks, Los Angeles Rams, San Francisco 49ers, and Arizona Cardinals. The Seahawks have won the division a total of 10 times, the most in the NFC West. The Rams have won it the second most with a total of 7 wins, followed by the 49ers with 6 wins, and the Cardinals with 2 wins.
