Who Plays Who in the NFL Playoffs?
Contents
The NFL playoffs are upon us and it’s time to take a look at who’s playing who. The NFC looks to be wide open, while the AFC is a bit more top heavy. Who do you think will come out on top?
AFC Wild Card Weekend
The AFC Wild Card Weekend features four teams in the hunt for the Lombardi trophy. The Indianapolis Colts take on the Houston Texans, while the Los Angeles Chargers visit the Baltimore Ravens. Who will win these two exciting matchups?
Baltimore Ravens vs. Los Angeles Chargers
On Sunday, January 6th, the Baltimore Ravens will take on the Los Angeles Chargers in the AFC Wild Card Weekend. The Ravens finished the season with a 10-6 record while the Chargers finished 13-3. This will be the first time these two teams have played each other this season. The winner of this game will advance to the AFC Divisional Round where they will take on the New England Patriots.
Indianapolis Colts vs. Houston Texans
The Indianapolis Colts will take on the Houston Texans in the AFC Wild Card Weekend. The game will be played at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, Indiana. The Colts are the favorites to win this game, as they are one of the best teams in the NFL. The Texans, on the other hand, are a team that is hard to predict. They have been up and down all season, but they have the potential to upset the Colts.
NFC Wild Card Weekend
The NFL playoffs are upon us and there are some great match-ups this weekend. In the NFC, the Wild Card Weekend features the Seattle Seahawks vs the Dallas Cowboys and the Green Bay Packers vs the New York Giants. These are two very evenly matched games and should be great to watch.
Seattle Seahawks vs. Dallas Cowboys
On Saturday, Jan. 5, the Seattle Seahawks will travel to AT&T Stadium to take on the Dallas Cowboys in an NFC Wild Card Playoff game. This will be the second meeting between these two teams this season, with the Seahawks winning the first matchup back in Week 3 by a score of 24-13.
The Cowboys are coming into this game hot, having won eight of their last nine games. However, they will be without star running back Ezekiel Elliott, who is suspended for the first time this season. The Seahawks are also playing well as of late, winning six of their last seven games. They are led by their defense, which is ranked third in the NFL in points allowed per game.
Prediction: The Seahawks have been one of the best teams in the NFL over the second half of the season and they have a significant advantage in this game with Elliott out for the Cowboys. I expect them to win by a score of 27-17.
Chicago Bears vs. Philadelphia Eagles
On January 6th, the Chicago Bears will be taking on the Philadelphia Eagles in the NFL Wild Card Weekend. The winner of this game will go on to play the New Orleans Saints in the divisional round.
This will be a rematch of sorts, as the two teams met back in week 12 of the regular season. In that game, the Bears won 16-15 on a last-second field goal. However, both teams have changed a lot since then. The Eagles are coming into this game with a new quarterback, as Nick Foles has taken over for an injured Carson Wentz. And the Bears will be without their starting quarterback, Mitchell Trubisky, who is sidelined with a shoulder injury.
So who has the edge in this matchup? It’s tough to say. The Eagles are playing at home, but they’ll be without their star quarterback. The Bears are also playing without their starting quarterback, but they’re coming off a big win against the rival Minnesota Vikings. It should be a close game, but it’s hard to predict who will come out on top.
AFC Divisional Round
The AFC divisional round features some great match-ups this year. The first game is between the Patriots and the Titans. The Patriots are coming off a bye week and are looking to continue their domination of the AFC. The Titans upset the Chiefs in the Wild Card round and are looking to continue their Cinderella story. The second game is between the Jaguars and the Steelers. The Jaguars have been one of the best teams in the NFL all season and are looking to make a run at the Super Bowl. The Steelers are coming off a disappointing loss to the Patriots in the AFC Championship game last year and are looking to redeem themselves.
Baltimore Ravens vs. New England Patriots
The Baltimore Ravens will travel to New England to take on the Patriots in the AFC Divisional Round. This will be a rematch of last year’s AFC Championship game, which the Patriots won en route to their sixth Super Bowl title.
The Ravens are coming off a dominant performance in their Wild Card win over the Los Angeles Chargers. They will look to continue their winning ways against a Patriots team that is coming off a bye week.
This should be a great game between two of the best teams in the AFC. Be sure to tune in!
Los Angeles Chargers vs. Kansas City Chiefs
The Los Angeles Chargers will travel to Arrowhead Stadium to take on the Kansas City Chiefs in the AFC divisional round of the playoffs. The Chiefs entered the playoffs as the No. 1 seed after finishing the regular season with a record of 12-4, while the Chargers earned the No. 5 seed with a record of 11-5.
This will be the second matchup between these two teams this season, as they faced off back in Week 11, with the Chiefs coming out on top by a score of 29-28. The Chiefs enters this game as heavy favorites, as they are 9.5-point favorites over the Chargers.
The winner of this game will advance to the AFC Championship game where they will take on either the New England Patriots or Houston Texans.
NFC Divisional Round
The NFL playoffs are here, and the first round of action will feature the NFC Divisional Round. Who plays who in this round? The top-seeded New Orleans Saints will host the Minnesota Vikings, while the Philadelphia Eagles will travel to take on the Dallas Cowboys. The Los Angeles Rams will also be in action, as they take on the Green Bay Packers at Lambeau Field. Get ready for some exciting football!
Seattle Seahawks vs. New Orleans Saints
The Seattle Seahawks will travel to New Orleans to take on the Saints in the NFC Divisional Round. These two teams met earlier this season, with the Seahawks coming out on top 33-27. Seattle will look to repeat that success, but they will have their work cut out for them against a Saints team that is looking to exact some revenge.
New Orleans finished the regular season with a 13-3 record, good for first place in the NFC South. They are led by quarterback Drew Brees, who is coming off of yet another Pro Bowl season. The Saints also have one of the best rushing attacks in the league, thanks to running backs Alvin Kamara and Mark Ingram. On defense, they are anchored by All-Pro defensive end Cam Jordan.
The Seahawks finished the regular season 10-6, good for second place in the NFC West. They are led by quarterback Russell Wilson, who is having another MVP-caliber season. The Seahawks also have one of the best defenses in the league, thanks to players like linebacker Bobby Wagner and safety Earl Thomas.
This should be a great game between two evenly matched teams. It will likely come down to which team can make more big plays on offense and which team can get stops when it matters most on defense.
Dallas Cowboys vs. Los Angeles Rams
The Dallas Cowboys will take on the Los Angeles Rams in the NFC Divisional Round of the NFL playoffs. The Cowboys are coming off of a 24-22 victory over the Seattle Seahawks in the Wild Card Round, while the Rams defeated the New Orleans Saints, 26-23, in their Wild Card matchup.
This will be the second meeting between these two teams this season, as they faced off back in Week 4, with the Rams coming out on top, 35-30. In that game, Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott threw for 3 touchdowns and 273 yards, while Rams quarterback Jared Goff threw for 255 yards and 2 touchdowns.
The winner of this game will advance to the NFC Championship Game where they will take on either the Green Bay Packers or the San Francisco 49ers.
AFC Championship Game
The New England Patriots will take on the Kansas City Chiefs in the AFC Championship game. The Patriots are looking to go back to the Super Bowl for the third straight year, while the Chiefs are looking to make their first appearance since 1970.
Baltimore Ravens vs. Kansas City Chiefs
The Baltimore Ravens will take on the Kansas City Chiefs in the 2019 AFC Championship game. The game will be played at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City, Missouri. The Ravens are looking to return to the Super Bowl for the first time since winning it in 2013, while the Chiefs are looking to make their first appearance since 1970.
NFC Championship Game
The stage is set and the match-ups are official. In the NFC, the Green Bay Packers will face off against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. This will be a rematch of their regular season game which the Packers won 38-10. The Packers are coming into this game with a lot of momentum after their impressive win against the top-seeded Los Angeles Rams. The Buccaneers, on the other hand, are coming off a dominant win against the New Orleans Saints. Who will win this match-up?
Seattle Seahawks vs. Los Angeles Rams
The Seattle Seahawks and Los Angeles Rams will face off in the NFC Championship game on January 20, 2019. The Seahawks are the defending NFC champions, while the Rams are making their first appearance in the conference title game since 2001. These two teams met twice during the regular season, with each team winning on its home turf.
Super Bowl LIII
The Rams will play the Patriots in the Super Bowl this year. The Rams are led by their high-powered offense, which includes quarterback Jared Goff and running back Todd Gurley. The Patriots are led by their defense, which is one of the best in the NFL.
Baltimore Ravens vs. Los Angeles Rams
The Baltimore Ravens, led by quarterback Lamar Jackson, meet the Los Angeles Rams, led by quarterback Jared Goff, in an NFC Wild Card playoff game in the NFL playoffs on Saturday, January 12, 2019 (1/12/19) at Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum in Los Angeles, California.
The winner advances to play the Dallas Cowboys or the Seattle Seahawks next week in the divisional playoffs.
