George Blanda was the oldest player in NFL history, playing until he was 48. He was a quarterback and placekicker, playing for 26 seasons from 1949 to 1975.

Testaverde’s career record as a starter is 87–103 (.457).
Testaverde’s father was of Sicilian descent and his mother was of Cuban ancestry. His maternal grandparents emigrated from Cuba to Key West, Florida, where they worked as cigar rollers.
