Bogues began his basketball career at Dunbar High School, where he led his team to two consecutive undefeated seasons and a number one ranking in the nation. He then went on to play for Wake Forest University.
In 1987, Bogues was drafted by the Charlotte Hornets with the twelfth overall pick in the first round of the NBA Draft. He played for the Hornets for ten seasons, until he was traded to the Golden State Warriors in 1997. Bogues retired from professional basketball in 2001.
Earl Boykins
Earl Boykins was born on June 2, 1976 in Cleveland, Ohio. He is an American former professional basketball player who was exceptionally short for his position, standing at only 5 feet 5 inches (1.65 m). He played college basketball for Eastern Michigan University before being selected by the Milwaukee Bucks in the second round of the 1998 NBA draft. He also played for the Cleveland Cavaliers, Denver Nuggets, Los Angeles Clippers, Houston Rockets, Orlando Magic, Charlotte Bobcats, Washington Wizards and Golden State Warriors during his 16-year NBA career. Boykins was a two-time All-Star and won an NBA championship with the Warriors in 2015. He retired from basketball in 2016 with career totals of 10,725 points and 3,208 assists.
Spud Webb
At 5’7”, Spud Webb was one of the shortest players in NBA history. He played for four teams during his 12-year career, including the Atlanta Hawks, Sacramento Kings, and Detroit Pistons. He was an All-Star in 1986 and won the Slam Dunk Contest that same year.
