The current standings

The Golden State Warriors are in the lead with seventy-three wins and nine losses. The San Antonio Spurs are in second place with sixty-one wins and twenty-one losses. The Houston Rockets are in third place with fifty-six wins and twenty-six losses.

Eastern Conference

The Eastern Conference of the National Basketball Association (NBA) is one of two conferences that makes up the league, the other being the Western Conference. Like the Western Conference, the Eastern Conference is made up of 15 teams, organized in three divisions.
The conference has a reputation for being much weaker than the Western Conference, especially since former superstars LeBron James and Kyrie Irving joined the Western side. Out of the last 20 NBA Finals, only six have featured an Eastern team.

The Lakers look like they’re on their way to their first Finals appearance since 2010.

(2) Denver Nuggets
The Nuggets have been one of the biggest surprises of the season so far. Led by Nikola Jokic, Denver has managed to stay near the top of the Western Conference despite dealing with a number of injuries. If they can get healthy, the Nuggets could be a tough out in the playoffs.

(3) Clippers
The Clippers have been one of the best teams in the league all season long, and they currently sit third in the West. Kawhi Leonard has been great for LA, and Paul George is starting to heat up after a slow start to the year. If the Clippers can find some consistent outside shooting, they could be a dangerous team come playoff time.

(4) Portland Trail Blazers
The Trail Blazers have been one of the most pleasant surprises of the season. Led by Damian Lillard, Portland has managed to stay afloat despite losing Jusuf Nurkic to a gruesome injury early in the year. The Blazers are currently fourth in the West, and they look like they could be a tough out in the playoffs.

The teams to watch

The Warriors and the Cavs are duking it out again this season and it’s anyone’s game. But there are other teams to watch as well. The Rockets are one team to keep an eye on. They’re currently in second place in the Western Conference and they’re only two games behind the Warriors. The Celtics are also looking good this season. They’re in first place in the Eastern Conference and they’re four games ahead of the Cavs.

Los Angeles Lakers

The Los Angeles Lakers are an American professional basketball team based in Los Angeles, California. They play in the Pacific Division of the Western Conference in the National Basketball Association (NBA). The Lakers franchise was founded in 1947 by amateur businessman George Washington, who bought the team for $5,000. His decision was partly motivated by seeing an advert for a basketball team for sale in the newspaper, which he bought two days later. The Lakers won five championships in six Finals appearances between 2000 and 2010. They also hold the record for having made the most Finals appearances with 31.

Milwaukee Bucks

The Milwaukee Bucks are currently the best team in the NBA. They have a record of 60-22, and they are led by superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo. The Bucks have a lot of talent, and they are looking like the team to beat in the playoffs.

In 2017, he became the first player since Kareem Abdul-Jabbar to lead his team in all 5 major statistical categories for a season.
