The Los Angeles Lakers

The Miami Heat
The Miami Heat are an American professional basketball team based in Miami. The Heat compete in the National Basketball Association (NBA) as a member of the league’s Eastern Conference Southeast Division. The Heat play their home games at American Airlines Arena, and have won three NBA championships.
The franchise began play in 1988 as an expansion team, where after a period of mediocrity, the Heat would gain relevance during the 1990s following the appointment of former head coach Pat Riley in 1995, who would lead Miami to eight division titles and NBA appearance in 2006. Riley retired as head coach following the heat’s loss in the 2020 NBA Finals.
Erik Spoelstra is the current head coach, and Pat Riley serves as the team president and de facto general manager. The owner of the Heat is Micky Arison, who also owns Carnival Corporation, the world’s largest cruise operator.
