Russell Wilson
Russell Wilson, a five-time Pro Bowler, two-time first-team All-Pro and the NFL’s highest-paid player, has been named the 2022 NFL MVP.
The Seattle Seahawks quarterback was voted unanimously by a panel of 50 media members, the NFL announced Wednesday.
Wilson is the first player to be named MVP in back-to-back seasons since Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers in 2011 and 2012. He’s also the first Seahawks player to win the award.
Aaron Rodgers
In what was one of the most competitive MVP races in recent memory, Aaron Rodgers of the Green Bay Packers came out on top. Rodgers had a phenomenal season, throwing for 4,299 yards and 45 touchdowns. He also led the Packers to the NFC North title and a first-round bye in the playoffs.
Dak Prescott
Dak Prescott was the favorite to win the 2022 NFL MVP award after an outstanding season with the Dallas Cowboys. Prescott led the Cowboys to a 13-3 record and a first-round bye in the playoffs. He threw for 4,902 yards and 30 touchdowns, with just 10 interceptions. He also rushed for 9 rushing touchdowns.
Lamar Jackson
The Baltimore Ravens quarterback took home the prestigious award for the second year in a row after a spectacular season in which he led his team to the playoffs. Jackson became the first player in NFL history to throw for over 3,000 yards and rush for over 1,000 yards in the same season, and his 36 total touchdowns were also a league-high. He is widely considered to be one of the most dynamic and exciting players in the NFL today, and there is no doubt that he is deserving of this award.
