The Kansas City Chiefs are the 2019 AFC champions! They defeated the New England Patriots in the AFC championship game on Sunday, January 20th. This is the Chiefs’ first trip to the Super Bowl in 50 years!

The New Orleans Saints became the NFC South champions for the second consecutive season with their 31-28 victory over the Carolina Panthers on Sunday. With the win, the Saints clinched a first-round bye in the playoffs and will have home-field advantage throughout the NFC playoffs.

Mecom Jr., David Dixon, and the city of New Orleans on November 1, 1966. The Saints began play in Tulane Stadium in 1967.
The name “Saints” is an allusion to November 1 being All Saints Day in the Catholic faith, as well as to the fact that the city of New Orleans has historically been known as The Crescent City or The Big Easy.
