Tom Brady
The National Football LeagueMost Valuable Player Award (NFL MVP) is an award given by various media outlets to the most valuable player of the National Football League (NFL). The winner of the William Maxwell “Winky” Wright Trophy, as it is nicknamed, is selected in a vote by club personnel, who cannot vote for players on their own team. The trophy itself is a 14-inch-tall silver figurine of a standing player with a football in his throwing hand; upon winning the award, each MVP receives an annual $20,000 grant from the league for a charitable organization of their choice.
The most recent recipient of the award is Tom Brady.
Aaron Rodgers
Rodgers was named the NFL MVP for the third time in his career after a stellar season in which he led the league in touchdown passes (48) and passer rating (121.5). He also set an NFL record by completing 73.9% of his passes, and his 10.1 yards per attempt average was the second-highest in league history.
Russell Wilson
Russell Wilson received the most votes for the 2021 NFL MVP award. He led the Seattle Seahawks to a 12-4 record and was named first-team All-Pro for the third time in his career. Wilson threw for 4,212 yards and 36 touchdowns with just five interceptions in 16 games.
Patrick Mahomes
Patrick Mahomes is an American professional football player for the Kansas City Chiefs of the National Football League (NFL). He is the reigning NFL Most Valuable Player (MVP), and led the Chiefs to a Super Bowl victory in 2020.
Deshaun Watson
On February 6, 2021, the NFL announced that Deshaun Watson had won the MVP award for the 2020 NFL season. Watson received 29 of 50 votes from a panel of media members, beating out Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers, who received 9 votes.
