2020 NBA Finals
The 2020 NBA Finals was the championship series of the National Basketball Association (NBA)’s 2019–20 season and conclusion of the season’s playoffs. In the best-of-seven playoff series held from September 30 to October 13, the Western Conference champion Los Angeles Lakers defeated the Eastern Conference champion Miami Heat in six games to win their record-tying 17th NBA championship, tying the Boston Celtics for the most by any franchise.

The 2020 NBA Finals was the championship series of the National Basketball Association (NBA)’s 2019–20 season and conclusion of the season’s playoffs. The Western Conference champion Los Angeles Lakers defeated the Eastern Conference champion Miami Heat in six games (4–2), for their seventeenth NBA championship, tying the Boston Celtics for the most all-time. LeBron James was named Finals MVP for a record-tying fourth time.
2020 NBA Finals Results
The Toronto Raptors are the 2020 NBA Champions, winning the NBA Finals in six games. This is the first time in franchise history that the Raptors have won the NBA Finals. The Raptors were led by Finals MVP Kawhi Leonard, who averaged 27.5 points, 7.8 rebounds, and 3.5 assists per game.
Game 1
The Los Angeles Lakers won Game 1 of the 2020 NBA Finals, 116-98, against the Miami Heat on Wednesday night. LeBron James led the Lakers with 25 points, while Anthony Davis had 22 points and 9 rebounds. Jimmy Butler had 19 points for the Heat.
Game 2
In game 2 of the 2020 NBA Finals, the Los Angeles Lakers defeated the Miami Heat 106–93 to take a 2–0 lead in the best-of-seven series. With the win, the Lakers tied the all-time series record with the Boston Celtics for most NBA Finals appearances with 32. Anthony Davis led the team in scoring with 34 points, while LeBron James added 25 points, 13 assists and nine rebounds.

The Los Angeles Lakers won game 3 of the 2020 NBA Finals with a score of 111-88. This brings their lead in the series to 3-1.
Game 4
On October 11, 2020, the Los Angeles Lakers defeated the Miami Heat in Game 4 of the 2020 NBA Finals. The Lakers won by a score of 102-96, and with the victory, they took a 3-1 lead in the best-of-seven series. LeBron James led the way for the Lakers, scoring 28 points,grabbing 12 rebounds, and dishing out eight assists. James was named the NBA Finals Most Valuable Player for the fourth time in his career.

The Los Angeles Lakers defeated the Miami Heat in game six of the 2020 NBA Finals on Sunday, winning their record-tying seventeenth NBA championship. Lakers star LeBron James was named the Finals MVP for the fourth time in his career.

LeBron James wins 2020 NBA Finals MVP in close vote over Anthony Davis
James, who averaged 29.8 points, 11.8 rebounds and 8.5 assists in the series, captured his fourth Finals MVP award — breaking a tie with Michael Jordan for the most all time. He also became the first player to win Finals MVP with three different franchises, having previously won it with the Miami Heat (2012 and ’13) and the Cleveland Cavaliers (2016).
