The 2018 NBA Finals was the championship series of the National Basketball Association (NBA)’s 2017–18 season and conclusion of the season’s playoffs. In this best of seven playoff, the defending NBA champions and Western Conference champions Golden State Warriors swept the Eastern Conference champions Cleveland Cavaliers 4–0. This was the first time in NBA history that a team had won four Finals games by a margin of at least 15 points.

In the playoffs, they defeated the Indiana Pacers in seven games in the First Round, the Toronto Raptors in four games in the Second Round, and the Boston Celtics in seven games in the Conference Finals.

LeBron James was born on December 30, 1984, in Akron, Ohio. James began playing organized basketball in fifth grade. He played Amateur Athletic Union (AAU) basketball for Ohio Basketball Club’s under-16 team. During his freshman year at St. Vincent-St. Mary High School, he was profiled by Sports Illustrated magazine as “The Chosen One”, the high school basketball player destined to end up like LeBron.
James later commented, “I knew I was going to be good, but I didn’t know if I’d be this good.” In his first year of high school, he averaged 21 points and 6 rebounds per game for the varsity team. By the end of his high school career, he had compiled 2,812 points (a 27.4 points per game average), 817 rebounds (a 7.9 per game average) and 153 blocked shots (a 1.4 per game average).

Stephen Curry is an American professional basketball player for the Golden State Warriors of the National Basketball Association (NBA). A six-time NBA All-Star, he has been named the NBA Most Valuable Player (MVP) twice and won three NBA championships with the Warriors.
