The Lakers defeated the Celtics, four games to three, to win their 16th NBA championship. The 64th edition of the series was played between June 3 and June 17, 2010.

In the 2012 NBA Finals, the Miami Heat defeated the Oklahoma City Thunder in five games to win their second straight championship. This was the fourth time that Miami had reached the Finals in the last six years, and they became just the sixth team in NBA history to win back-to-back titles.

The series was close throughout, with four of the five games being decided by five points or less. In the end, it was Miami’s big three of LeBron James, Dwyane Wade, and Chris Bosh that proved to be too much for Oklahoma City, as they combined to average over 60 points per game for the series.

James was named Finals MVP for the second straight year, becoming just the third player in NBA history to win back-to-back MVPs in the Finals. He also became the first player ever to average at least 30 points, 10 rebounds, and seven assists in an NBA Finals series.

2013 NBA Finals

The Miami Heat and the San Antonio Spurs met in the 2013 NBA Finals, with the Spurs winning the series in seven games. It was the fifth time the two teams had met in the Finals, with the Spurs winning three of the previous four meetings.

The Miami Heat and the San Antonio Spurs met in the NBA Finals for the second consecutive year, making it the first time since the Chicago Bulls and Utah Jazz faced each other in back-to-back seasons in 1997 and 1998 that the same two teams had played in the Finals in consecutive years.

The Spurs entered the series with a streak of 16 consecutive victories dating back to Game 3 of the Western Conference Finals against the Oklahoma City Thunder. The Cavaliers had beaten the Indiana Pacers and the Toronto Raptors to reach their first ever NBA Finals.

In Game 1, which was played on June 6, 2013, at American Airlines Arena in Miami, Florida, Ray Allen hit a game-tying three-pointer with 5.2 seconds left in regulation to force overtime, where the Heat would go on to win 103–100. Allen’s shot would prove to be critical, as it allowed Miami to avoid an 0–1 deficit heading into Game 2. LeBron James had a triple double with 26 points, 11 rebounds and 10 assists for Miami, while Tony Parker led San Antonio with 21 points.

The series shifted to Texas for Games 3 and 4. In Game 3, which was played on June 10 at AT&T Center in San Antonio, Spurs forward Kawhi Leonard hit a go-ahead three-pointer with 1:14 remaining in overtime to give his team a 111–108 lead that they would not relinquish as they went on to win 113–77. San Antonio guard Danny Green set an NBA Finals record by making his seventh three-pointer of the game late in overtime; he finished with 27 points. James led Miami with 28 points, while Duncan had 24 for San Antonio. The victory gave the Spurs a 2–1 lead in the series.

In Game 4 on June 12, Leonard once again hit a crucial three-pointer late in overtime as part of his 36-point performance that led his team to victory and a commanding 3–1 series lead. James had 28 points and 10 assists for Miami while Dwyane Wade added 19 points off the bench despite shooting just 7-for-17 from the field; Wade’s Game 4 performance drew comparisons to Michael Jordan’s legendary “Flu Game” from 1997. The Cleveland Cavaliers, led by LeBron James, met the Golden State Warriors, led by Stephen Curry, in the best of seven 2016 NBA Finals. The Warriors had set the NBA regular season wins record with 73, while the Cavaliers won 57 games. These were the second consecutive Finals appearances for both teams, as the Cavaliers faced off against the Warriors in 2015. In that year, the Warriors won in six games.

The Cavaliers won the series 4–3, bringing their first ever NBA championship to Cleveland. James was named Finals MVP for a record-tying fourth time.

The Cavaliers became the first team in Finals history to come back from a 3–1 deficit to win the championship. The victory was Cleveland’s first major sports championship since 1964. It also marked the first time that a team had won an NBA Finals game on its home floor since Game 6 in 2013, and only the second time overall since 2010. LeBron James, who scored 27 points in the deciding game, was unanimously named NBA Finals MVP for a record-third consecutive year.

The Warriors entered the 2016 series with a 73–9 record after having one of the best regular seasons in NBA history, while setting an all-time record for most wins in a season. They were looking to repeat as NBA champions after winning their first ever title during their 2015 run; they had also reached their second consecutive Finals appearance, as well as becoming only he 12th team at that point to appear in consecutive Finals series. Golden State beat Cleveland 105–97 in Game 1, then won 110–77 in Game 2 to take a 2–0 lead in the series. However, over the next two games, Cleveland won 120–90 at home to even the series at 2 games apiece. After Golden State won 112–97in Game 5 to take a 3–2 lead, Cleveland came back once more to win 113–91 at home in Game 6 to send the series to Game 7. 2017 NBA Finals

The 2017 NBA Finals was the championship series of the National Basketball Association (NBA)’s 2016–17 season and conclusion of the season’s playoffs. In this best-of-seven playoff, the defending NBA champions and Western Conference champions Golden State Warriors swept the Eastern Conference champions Cleveland Cavaliers 4 games to 0. This was the fifth consecutive Finals appearance for the Warriors, while the Cavaliers made their fourth consecutive Finals appearance.

In what was an instant classic, the Golden State Warriors came back from a 3-1 deficit to defeat the Cleveland Cavaliers in the NBA Finals. This was the first time in NBA history that a team had come back from a 3-1 deficit to win the Finals.

The Warriors were led by their two superstar players, Stephen Curry and Kevin Durant. Curry averaged 30.1 points per game during the Finals, while Durant averaged 28.5 points per game. Durant was named the Finals MVP, as he averaged 35.2 points per game during the final three games of the series.

2019 NBA Finals
