The Green Bay Packers have won the most NFL championships, with 13 total. They have also won the most Super Bowls, with four.
New England Patriots
The New England Patriots are a professional American football team based in the Greater Boston area. The Patriots compete in the National Football League (NFL) as a member club of the league’s American Football Conference (AFC) East division. The team plays its home games at Gillette Stadium in the town of Foxborough, Massachusetts, which is 28 miles (45 km) southwest of downtown Boston.
The Patriots are also headquartered at Gillette Stadium. An original member of the American Football League (AFL), the Patriots joined the NFL in 1970 as part of the AFL–NFL merger. The team changed its name from the original Boston Patriots after relocating to Foxborough in 1971. The Patriots played their home games at Foxboro Stadium from 1971 to 2001, then moved to Gillette Stadium at the start of the 2002 season. The Patriots’ rivalry with the New York Jets is considered one of the most bitter rivalries in the NFL.
The Patriots have appeared in ten Super Bowls in franchise history, winning seven of them, most recently Super Bowl LIII in February 2019. The Pittsburgh Steelers have won the most NFL championships, with six titles in total. They have appeared in a total of eight championship games, winning six and losing two. The Steelers have also won the most Super Bowls, with six wins in total.
Super Bowls
The New England Patriots have won the most Super Bowls with six championships. The Pittsburgh Steelers and the San Francisco 49ers have both won five Super Bowls.
Green Bay Packers
The Green Bay Packers have won a total of 13 NFL championships, the most in NFL history. They have also won four Super Bowls, the most of any NFC team. The Packers play their home games at Lambeau Field, which is also the longest-tenured stadium in the NFL.
New England Patriots
The New England Patriots have won the most Super Bowls in NFL history. They have appeared in a total of 11 Super Bowls, winning six of them. They are also the only team to have won three consecutive Super Bowls on two separate occasions.
The Patriots’ first Super Bowl appearance came in 1986, when they lost to the Chicago Bears. They would make it back to the big game in 1997, but lost again, this time to the Green Bay Packers. The Patriots finally broke through and won their first Super Bowl in 2001, when they defeated the St. Louis Rams 20-17 in one of the most iconic games in NFL history.
The Patriots would go on to win two more Super Bowls in 2003 and 2004, before losing to the Eli Manning-led New York Giants in 2008. The Pats would win two more championships in 2014 and 2016, before losing to the Philadelphia Eagles in 2018.
Pittsburgh Steelers
As of the end of the 2019 season, the Pittsburgh Steelers have won the most Super Bowls with six victories. They have also appeared in eight Super Bowls, more than any other team in NFL history.
The New England Patriots have won five Super Bowls, which is the second-most in NFL history. They have also appeared in 11 Super Bowls, which is also the most in NFL history.
The Denver Broncos and San Francisco 49ers have each won five Super Bowls, tied for the third-most in NFL history. The Broncos have appeared in eight Super Bowls, while the 49ers have appeared in six.
