Larry Nance Jr.
Larry Nance Jr. won the NBA Slam Dunk Contest on Saturday, beating out former champion Zach LaVine with a powerful final dunk. Nance Jr. is a forward for the Cleveland Cavaliers, and is in his second season with the team. He is the son of Larry Nance, who was a forward for the Cavaliers from 1981 to 1988.
First Round
In the first round, Nance Earned a 44 by starting with a between-the-legs jam, followed by a one-handed tomahawk from just inside the free throw line. He then immediately started his second dunk, which was almost identical to his first except he finished it with two hands.
Second Round
In the second round, Nance put up a 47 with a perfect score on his first dunk of the round. He started by Dunking over Kevin Huerter, then did abetween the legs dunk off of an alley-oop pass from Trae Young. His final dunk was aBetween the legs one-handed self-lob off the backboard.
Aaron Gordon
It was a close dunk contest this year, but in the end, it was Aaron Gordon who won it. He narrowly beat out Derrick Jones Jr. in the final round. Gordon put on a great show and showed why he is one of the best dunkers in the NBA.
First Round
In the first round, Gordon faced off against Pat Connaughton of the Milwaukee Bucks. Gordon started off the dunks with a between-the-legs dunk from just inside the free throw line, followed by a Connaughton miss. On his second attempt, Gordon jumped over the Bucks’ mascot, Bango, and threw down a two-handed slam. After a Connaughton miss, Gordon attempted a dunk from just inside the free throw line while putting his arm through the hoop, but was unsuccessful. On his next attempt, he threw down a one-handed slam while putting his other arm through the hoop. After another Connaughton miss, Gordon threw down a between-the-legs dunk while jumping over Bango again. He finished off the round with a two-handed slam while jumping over two people.
Second Round
In the second round, Gordon faced off against Pat Connaughton of the Milwaukee Bucks. Gordon started off strong with a between-the-legs dunk from just inside the free throw line, but Connaughton quickly answered with a windmill dunk of his own. Gordon then took it to another level, leaping over the 7-foot-2 Boston Celtics center Tacko Fall for a monster slam. After another impressive dunk from Connaughton, Gordon brought out Orlando Magic teammate and fellow All-Star Nikola Vucevic to help him with his final dunk of the round. Vucevic held the ball for Gordon as he leapt over him and threw down a two-handed slam, giving him a perfect score of 50 and the win in the second round.
Derrick Jones Jr.
The 2020 NBA Slam Dunk Contest was held on February 14, 2020, at the United Center in Chicago, Illinois. The contest was originally scheduled to be held during All-Star Weekend, but was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Jones Jr. won the contest with a score of 50, beating out Pat Connaughton of the Milwaukee Bucks, who scored a 48.
First Round
In the first round, each dunker had two minutes to complete their dunk. Jones started off the competition with a between-the-legs dunk from the free throw line, earning him a score of 45. He followed that up with a dunk off of an alley-oop pass from teammate Bam Adebayo, which he finished with a one-handed slam. That earned him a score of 47 and put him in the lead going into the second round.
Second Round
In the second round, Jones Jr. took on Dwight Howard in a matchup of two veteran dunkers. Jones Jr. won the round with a score of 48, thanks in part to a series of slams that saw him bounce the ball off of the floor and catch it in mid-air before completing the dunk. Howard, meanwhile, failed to impress the judges with his first dunk and only managed a score of 46.
Victor Oladipo
Indiana Pacers guard Victor Oladipo won the NBA Dunk Contest on Saturday night, beating out Miami Heat guard Derrick Jones Jr. in the final round. Oladipo won with a between-the-legs dunk from the free throw line that earned a score of 50 from the judges.
First Round
In the first round, each dunker has two attempts to complete a dunk. If he completes the dunk on his first attempt, he is awarded 9 points. If he misses the dunk on his first attempt but completes it on his second attempt, he is awarded 7 points.
The eight highest scorers in the first round advance to the second round where they are again given two attempts to complete a dunk. The four highest scorers in the second round advance to the finals.
Second Round
Oladipo started off his second round with a bang, throwing down an impressive dunk off of an alley-oop pass from Pacers teammate Glenn Robinson III. He followed that up with another solid alley-oop dunk, this time from former Pacers guard Lance Stephenson.
Glenn Robinson III
Glenn Robinson III wins the 2017 NBA Slam Dunk Contest. Robinson III defeats DeAndre Jordan in the final round with a score of 50 to 45. This is the second Slam Dunk Contest title for Robinson III, who also won the title in 2015.
First Round
In the first round of the contest, Glenn Robinson III made a statement with a between-the-legs dunk that left the crowd and his opponents in awe. His score of 48 was enough to put him in second place going into the final round, behind onlyAaron Gordon.

Zach LaVine
Zach LaVine won the 2015 NBA Slam Dunk Contest. He was the first person to ever win back-to-back Slam Dunk titles. LaVine finished with a score of 100, which was the highest score ever given in the contest.
First Round
Zach LaVine won the Slam Dunk Contest in his rookie year, and he did it in impressive fashion. He started off with a between-the-legs dunk from the free throw line, followed it up with a reverse 360 dunk, and then ended things with a windmill dunk. It was an electric performance, and one that earned him a perfect score of 50 from the judges.
Second Round
After a disappointing start to his second round, LaVine stormed back with an impressive display of power and athleticism. He started off with a between-the-legs dunk from the free throw line, followed that up with a one-handed tomahawk jam, and then threw down a windmill dunk that brought the crowd to its feet.
