Who Won The Nba Finals Game Last Night?
The NBA Finals are over and the Golden State Warriors are the champions! Find out who won the Finals MVP and check out highlights from the series.
The Los Angeles Lakers
Last night’s game was one for the ages, with the Los Angeles Lakers outlasting the Miami Heat in a 106-93 victory to claim their record-tying 17th NBA championship. It was a wire-to-wire win for the Lakers, who never trailed in the game and led by as many as 19 points.
LeBron James was once again the star of the show, leading all players in scoring with 28 points to go along with 12 rebounds and 10 assists for his fourth career NBA Finals triple-double. James was named the Finals MVP for the fourth time in his career, joining Michael Jordan and Kobe Bryant as the only players to ever win that award four times.
For the Heat, it was a disappointing end to what had been a surprisingly successful season. After losing All-Star forward Bam Adebayo to injury early in the series, they simply didn’t have enough firepower to keep up with the Lakers. Jimmy Butler led Miami with 22 points, but shot just 7-of-19 from the field and committed six turnovers.
The Miami Heat
The Miami Heat won the NBA Finals last night, defeating the Oklahoma City Thunder in five games. The Heat were led by Finals MVP LeBron James, who averaged 28.6 points, 10.2 rebounds and 7.4 assists per game in the series. Miami’s other stars, Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh, also played well, averaging over 20 points apiece in the series.
