The Los Angeles Lakers
The Los Angeles Lakers won the 2009 NBA Finals, beating the Orlando Magic in five games. This was the Lakers’ 15th NBA Championship, and head coach Phil Jackson’s 10th title overall. Kobe Bryant was named Finals MVP for the second straight year.
The Orlando Magic
In 2009, the Orlando Magic won the NBA Finals. The Magic defeated the Los Angeles Lakers in five games, becoming the first team in NBA history to win a championship after losing the first two games of the series. This was also the first time since 1994 that a team from outside of California had won the NBA Finals.
The Cleveland Cavaliers
The 2009 NBA Finals was the National Basketball Association (NBA)’s championship series for the 2008–09 season. The best-of-seven playoff was contested between the Western Conference champion Los Angeles Lakers (who were also defending Western Conference champions), and the Eastern Conference champion Orlando Magic. The Lakers defeated the Magic, four games to one, to win their fifteenth NBA championship. The 63rd edition of the series was played between June 4 and June 14 and was broadcast on ABC.
The Boston Celtics
Even though the Boston Celtics had one of the youngest teams in the NBA, they still managed to come out on top and win the 2009 NBA Finals. It was an incredible victory, made even more so by the fact that they had to come back from a 3-2 deficit against the Los Angeles Lakers. Kobe Bryant and Pau Gasol just couldn’t keep up with the Celtics’ team defense, and Boston went on to win game 7 by a score of 83-79.
