Kawhi Leonard
Kawhi Leonard of the San Antonio Spurs was named the 2016 NBA Most Valuable Player on June 26, 2016, becoming the sixth player in Spurs history to receive the honor. Leonard received 634 points, including 81 first-place votes, from a panel of sportswriters and broadcasters throughout the United States and Canada. He narrowly edged out fellow finalists LeBron James of the Cleveland Cavaliers and Steph Curry of the Golden State Warriors. Leonard is just the fourth player to receive MVP honors unanimously.

LeBron James has been named the NBA’s Most Valuable Player for a record-tying fourth time.
The league announced Sunday that the Cleveland Cavaliers star had been voted the MVP for the 2016-17 season. He received the honor in 2003-04, 2008-09 and 2009-10 with the Miami Heat, making him just the fifth player in league history to win at least four MVPs.
James, who turns 32 next month, is coming off one of his best seasons yet. He averaged 26.4 points, 8.7 rebounds and 8.6 assists while leading the Cavs to their third straight Eastern Conference title.
