AJ Styles won the WWE Championship at Day One in a triple threat match against former champion Brock Lesnar and Rey Mysterio. This is Mysterio’s first WWE Championship reign.

On the first ever night of WWE Raw, WWE Champion Brock Lesnar successfully defended his title against challenger Kurt Angle.
