Bruno Sammartino holds the record for the longest reign as WWE Champion, at 2,803 days (more than 7 years). He defeated “Playboy” Buddy Rogers in 1963 to become the second WWE Champion and held onto the title until 1971. Sammartino regained the title in 1973 and held it for an additional three years.

-The Battle of the Billionaires (2007): In this match, Donald Trump and Vince McMahon went head-to-head, with each man choosing one wrestler to represent them. If Trump’s wrestler won, McMahon would have had his head shaved, but if McMahon’s wrestler won, Trump would have had to “put up” $1 million. In the end, it was Trump’s wrestler who emerged victorious – and McMahon did indeed get his head shaved!
-The Montreal Screwjob (1997): This match was between Bret “Hitman” Hart and Shawn Michaels, and it ended in a very controversial way. Hart was supposed to win the match, but Michaels ended up winning after Hart was “screwed” by referee Earl Hebner. The Montreal Screwjob is considered one of the most infamous moments in WWE history.
-Brock Lesnar vs. The Rock (2002): This was a historic match, as it marked the first time that a reigning UFC Heavyweight Champion took on a WWE Superstar. Lesnar emerged victorious in this highly anticipated match-up.
