WWE Monday Night RAW results and observation (5/25): Braun Strowman is ‘The Monster Among Men,’Dean Ambrose is back
The big story coming out of last night’s show was the return of Dean Ambrose.
After weeks of build, Ambrose finally made his return to WWE programming last night on RAW, attacking Elias. It was a quick but effective way to bring Ambrose back into the fold, and it should be interesting to see how WWE uses him going forward.
In the main event, Braun Strowman defeated Samoa Joe to become the new number one contender for Brock Lesnar’s Universal Championship. It was a bit of a surprise that Joe didn’t win here, as he’s been built up as a major threat to Lesnar in recent weeks. But WWE seems to be setting up Strowman as “the guy” on RAW right now, and this win cements that status.
