The teams

The NFL has many teams. The teams each have their own fans. Some of the fans are very loyal to their team and will watch every game. Other fans only watch when their team is doing well. There are a few fans that are only interested in one player on the team. But, there are also many fans that are interested in the team as a whole.

The Patriots

The New England Patriots are a professional American football team based in the Greater Boston region. The Patriots compete in the National Football League (NFL) as a member club of the league’s American Football Conference (AFC) East division. The team plays its home games at Gillette Stadium in the town of Foxborough, Massachusetts, which is located 28 miles (45 km) southwest of downtown Boston.

The Patriots are also headquartered at Gillette Stadium. An original member of the American Football League (AFL), the Patriots joined the NFL in the AFL–NFL merger in 1970. The team changed its name from the original Boston Patriots after relocating to Foxborough in 1971. The Patriots played their home games at Foxboro Stadium from 1971 to 2001, then moved to Gillette Stadium at the start of the 2002 season.

The Rams

The Los Angeles Rams are a professional American football team based in the Los Angeles metropolitan area. The Rams compete in the National Football League (NFL) as a member club of the league’s National Football Conference (NFC) West division. The Rams franchise was founded in 1936 as the Cleveland Rams in the short-lived second American Football League (AFL) before joining the NFL the next year. In 1946, the franchise moved to Los Angeles. The Rams franchise remained in the metro area until 1994, when they moved to St. Louis, and were known as the St. Louis Rams from 1995 to 2015. The Rams franchise returned to Los Angeles in 2016, re-joining the NFC West.

The club played their home games at Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum from 1946 to 1979, and then Anaheim Stadium from 1980 to 1994 before moving back to Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum starting with their home game on September 18, 2016 which they won against their division rivals, the Seattle Seahawks 44-6, making them 3-1 all-time when playing their first game back at home in Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum since 1979 and 1-0 when playing there as the Los Angeles Rams. The Saints

The New Orleans Saints are a professional American football team based in New Orleans, Louisiana. The Saints currently compete in the National Football League (NFL) as a member of the league’s National Football Conference (NFC) South division. The team was founded by John W. Mecom Jr., David Dixon, and the city of New Orleans on November 1, 1966. The Saints began play in Tulane Stadium in 1967.

The name “Saints” is an allusion to November 1 being All Saints Day in the Catholic faith, or a reference to the team’s offensive strategy of passing the ball on almost every down. Quarterback Drew Brees has led the club to nine playoff appearances—including five NFC South titles, four NFC Championship Games, and Super Bowl XLIV—since he joined in 2006; Brees is also the NFL’s all-time leader in passing yards and passing touchdowns.
