The teams
The National Basketball Association (NBA) is the premier professional basketball league in the United States and Canada. The league is composed of 30 teams, 29 in the United States and 1 in Canada. The NBA playoffs are a best-of-seven elimination tournament annually held after the conclusion of the regular season.
Eastern Conference
The Eastern Conference of the National Basketball Association (NBA) is one of two conferences that makes up the league, the other being the Western Conference. Like the Western Conference, the Eastern Conference is made up of 15 teams, organized in three divisions.
-Atlantic Division: Boston Celtics, Brooklyn Nets, New York Knicks, Philadelphia 76ers, Toronto Raptors
-Central Division: Chicago Bulls, Cleveland Cavaliers, Detroit Pistons, Indiana Pacers, Milwaukee Bucks
-Southeast Division: Atlanta Hawks, Charlotte Hornets, Miami Heat, Orlando Magic, Washington Wizards
The winner of each division is guaranteed a spot in the NBA Playoffs. The three divisional winners are then seeded first through third based on their regular season record. The next five teams in each conference – regardless of divisional affiliation – are seeded fourth through eighth.

The Western Conference of the National Basketball Association is made up of 15 teams, organized in three divisions.

Kevin Durant
Small forward for the Brooklyn Nets, Kevin Durant is one of the most prolific scorers in NBA history. A ten-time All-Star and two-time NBA Finals MVP, Durant has career averages of 27.0 points, 7.1 rebounds, and 5.4 assists per game. He was the NBA Rookie of the Year in 2007 and has been named to nine All-NBA teams.
Stephen Curry
Stephen Curry is an American professional basketball player for the Golden State Warriors of the National Basketball Association (NBA). A six-time NBA All-Star, he has been named the NBA Most Valuable Player (MVP) twice and won three NBA championships with the Warriors. Many players and analysts have called him the greatest shooter in NBA history. He is credited with popularizing the use of the three-point shot as a primary weapon, as he led the league in three-point shooting for five consecutive seasons.

Gregg Popovich
Gregg Charles Popovich (born January 28, 1949) is an American professional basketball coach who is the head coach of the San Antonio Spurs of the National Basketball Association (NBA). Taking over as head coach of the Spurs in 1996, Popovich is currently the longest tenured active head coach in both the NBA and all major professional sports leagues in the United States. He is also one of only five coaches in NBA history to win five NBA championships (1999, 2003, 2005, 2007, and 2014).
Steve Kerr
Steve Kerr (born September 27, 1965) is an American professional basketball head coach and former player. He is the current head coach of the Golden State Warriors of the National Basketball Association (NBA). Kerr has also served as the general manager of the Phoenix Suns and the president of basketball operations of the Chicago Bulls. He played collegiate basketball for the Arizona Wildcats, where he was a member of the 1987 Pac-10 championship team. After graduating in 1988, he played professionally in Spain for troisPortlandia PD before returning to the United States to play for several NBA teams from 1989 to 2003., when he joined broadcast stats for Turner Network Television (TNT). Kerr retired as a player after winning three championships with Tim Duncan and Tony Parker on the San Antonio Spurs.
Kerr became head coach of the Warriors in 2014, replacing Mark Jackson. In his first year as head coach, Kerr led the Warriors to a 67–15 record and an NBA championship. The Warriors broke an NBA record by winning 73 games in 2015–16; they followed that up in 2016–17 by going an undefeated 16–1 in the playoffs and winning their second consecutive title. In 2017–18, Kerr guided them to a third consecutive NBA Finals appearance, where they lost to LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers in four games.

Glenn Anton “Doc” Rivers (born October 13, 1961) is an American basketball coach and former player. He is the current head coach of the Los Angeles Clippers. As an NBA point guard, Rivers was known for his defense, facilitating style of play and outside shooting.
