The NFC

The National Football Conference (NFC) is one of the two conferences of the National Football League (NFL), the highest professional level of American football in the world. The NFC was created on June 4, 1970, with the merger of the National Football League and the American Football League. This conference currently consists of sixteen teams, eight from each conference.

The Dallas Cowboys

This conference and its counterpart, the American Football Conference (AFC), currently contain 16 teams each, making up a total of 32 teams in the NFL.

The NFC began play in 1970 after the merging of the rival American Football League (AFL) and the NFL. Prior to this, the Cowboys were a part of the NFL’s Eastern Conference. When the leagues merged, each conference was split into two divisions; Dallas was placed in the newly formed National Football Conference West division. The NFC East currently consists of four teams: the Cowboys, Eagles, Giants, and Redskins.

The Green Bay Packers

The NFC is one of the two conferences in the National Football League (NFL), the American Football Conference (AFC) being the other. Like the AFC, the NFC is made up of 16 teams, organized into four divisions.

In order to make the playoffs, a team must first win their divisional championship game, and then win one of the two wild-card playoff games. The divisional champions and the two wild-card teams (the three highest-seeded teams who did not win their division) then advance to the four-team NFC tournament.

The top seed hosts the worst seededwild-card team, while the second seed hosts the other wild-card team. The winners of these games then advance to face each other in the NFC Championship game, with the winner going on to play in the Super Bowl.

This year’s NFC Championship game will be played on January 19th at 3:00pm EST and will feature the Green Bay Packers vs. either the New Orleans Saints or Los Angeles Rams.

The Kansas City Chiefs are a professional American football team based in Kansas City, Missouri. The Chiefs compete in the National Football League (NFL) as a member club of the league’s American Football Conference (AFC) West division. The team was founded in 1960 as the Dallas Texans by businessman Lamar Hunt and was a charter member of the American Football League (AFL). In 1963, the team relocated to Kansas City, Missouri, and assumed their current name. The Chiefs joined the NFL as a result of the AFL–NFL merger in 1970. The team is valued at over $2 billion. The New England Patriots

The New England Patriots are a professional American football team based in the Greater Boston area. The Patriots compete in the National Football League (NFL) as a member club of the league’s American Football Conference (AFC) East division. The team plays its home games at Gillette Stadium in the town of Foxborough, Massachusetts, which is located 28 miles (45 km) southwest of downtown Boston.
