Introduction

The National Football League (NFL) is a professional American football league consisting of 32 teams, divided equally between the National Football Conference (NFC) and the American Football Conference (AFC). The NFL is one of the four major North American professional sports leagues, the highest professional level of American football in the world.

AFC East

The AFC East is home to some of the most storied franchises in NFL history. This Sunday, fans will be treated to two heated divisional matchups.

First up, the Buffalo Bills will take on the New England Patriots. The Bills are coming off a tough loss to the Baltimore Ravens, while the Patriots are coming off a crushing defeat at the hands of the Miami Dolphins.

At the end of each NFL season, the winner of this division is awarded a playoff berth.

AFC West

The AFC West is home to some of the most iconic franchises in NFL history. The Kansas City Chiefs, Oakland Raiders, Denver Broncos, and Los Angeles Chargers have all been perennial contenders for the Lombardi Trophy over the years. This season is no different, as all four teams are in contention for a playoff spot.

This Sunday’s slate of games features two divisional matchups. The Chiefs will take on the Raiders in Oakland, while the Broncos will travel to Los Angeles to take on the Chargers. Both games are critical for divisional supremacy and playoff positioning.

The Dallas Cowboys are a professional American football team based in the Dallas–Fort Worth metroplex. The Cowboys compete in the National Football League (NFL) as a member club of the league’s National Football Conference (NFC) East division. They are headquartered in Frisco, Texas, and play their home games at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, which opened for the 2009 season. The stadium took the place of the Cotton Bowl as the home field of the Cowboys. The team’s name originates from an article published by Edward J. Walsh in New York Herald Tribune on January 28, 1960: “Cowboys’ New Home To Be Named ‘Texas Stadium.'” The team has played their home games in NFL stadiums located in Irving, Texas; Arlington, Texas; and San Diego, California respectively.
The Cowboys joined the NFL as an expansion team in 1960. They did not win their first Super Bowl until 1972 after signing safety Mel Renfro away from rival franchise Baltimore Colts, then led by renowned head coach Chuck Noll. Since winning their first championship thirty-eight years ago in 1972, they have appeared and lost eight Super Bowls throughout their fifty-five year history, making them one of only five teams with more than four appearances to never win a title along with Minnesota Vikings (4), Buffalo Bills (4), Atlanta Falcons (4), and Miami Dolphins (5). They are also one of only two teams to make more than eight appearances without winning a title since 1970 along withMinnesota Vikings Farve was traded back to Green Bay following his one season retirement where he would win one more Super Bowl with Packers bringing his total to four before retiring for good this time after 16 seasons as an NFL quarterback

The Washington Redskins are a professional American football team based in the Washington metropolitan area. The Redskins compete in the National Football League (NFL) as a member of the league’s National Football Conference (NFC) East division. The franchise began play as the Boston Braves in 1932 before relocating to Washington shortly thereafter; it adopted its current name during that same season. A member of five NFL championship teams since 1937—having captured fourteen divisional titles—the franchise hasAppearancestwenty-two members inducted into either Pro Football Hall of Fame or Pro Football Hall of Fame annually honoring its success.[11]
