Who’s the Best Player in the NFL?

It’s a debate as old as time itself…or at least as old as the NFL. Who is the best player in the NFL?

Tom Brady

Tom Brady is the best player in the NFL. He has led the New England Patriots to eight Super Bowl appearances, winning five of them. He is a four-time Super Bowl MVP and a three-time NFL MVP. He has also been selected to 14 Pro Bowls.

MVP

In 2002, Brady earned his first Super Bowl ring as the Patriots defeated the heavily favored St. Louis Rams, 20-17. Brady was named Super Bowl MVP after completing 16 of 27 passes for 145 yards and a touchdown. The following season, Brady led the Patriots to a second consecutive Super Bowl title, this time defeating the Carolina Panthers, 32-29. Again, Brady was named Super Bowl MVP after completing 23 of 33 passes for 236 yards and 2 touchdowns.

Championships

All-time, Tom Brady has played in ten Super Bowls, winning seven of them. He is the only player in NFL history to win five Super Bowls as a starting quarterback, and he did it in a span of just 16 years. Brady has also been named Super Bowl MVP four times, more than any other player in history.

Passing Yards

Tom Brady is an American football quarterback for the New England Patriots of the National Football League (NFL). He is one of only two players in NFL history to win five Super Bowls, and he is the only player to win them all playing for one team. In his 16 seasons as a starter, Brady has amassed numerous records, including most passing yards (74,571) and most passing touchdowns (541).

Aaron Rodgers

There’s no denying that Aaron Rodgers is one of the best quarterbacks in the NFL. He’s got the arm strength, accuracy, and mobility to make any throw on the field. He’s also got the intelligence and decision-making ability to make quick decisions in the pocket. All of these factors make him a dangerous quarterback for any defense.

MVP

In 2011, Rodgers had arguably the best season for a quarterback in NFL history, leading the Packers to a 15-1 record while throwing for 4,643 yards and 45 touchdowns, with just six interceptions. He was named the NFL’s Most Valuable Player and Offensive Player of the Year.

Championships

In his 16 seasons in the NFL, Rodgers has won two MVP Awards (2011, 2014), been selected to 14 Pro Bowls, and was the AP First Team All-Pro quarterback in four seasons (2011-2014). He has led the Packers to 13 NFC North division championships, nine trips to the NFC Championship Game, and a victory in Super Bowl XLV over the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Passing Yards

In the National Football League (NFL), the record for most passing yards in a career is 72,844, set by Brett Favre (1961-) of the Green Bay Packers, who played from 1992 to 2007. Favre threw for an average of 253.4 yards per game over his 302-game career.

Drew Brees

MVP

This year’s MVP is undoubtedly Drew Brees. He has led his team, the New Orleans Saints, to an outstanding 13-3 record, throwing for an incredible 4,334 yards and 34 touchdowns. His performance this season has been nothing short of sensational, and he fully deserves to be named MVP.

Championships

Brees has led the Saints to ten playoff appearances, six NFC South division championships, four NFC conference championship game appearances, and Super Bowl XLIV, in which they defeated the Indianapolis Colts 31–17 to win their first Super Bowl. He was named the Super Bowl MVP that year, becoming the first player from a losing team to do so.

Passing Yards

In the NFL, the record for most passing yards in a season is held by Drew Brees of the New Orleans Saints. He set the record in 2011 with 5,476 yards, surpassing the previous record of 5,366 set by Dan Marino in 1984.

Brees has led the league in passing yardage seven times (2006, 2008-2011, 2013-2014), tied for second-most all time behind only Marino’s nine seasons. He is also one of only four quarterbacks to have thrown for 5,000 or more yards in a season multiple times.
