Who’s the Best Quarterback in the NFL?

It’s a question that has been asked for years, and one that likely won’t have a definitive answer anytime soon. However, that doesn’t stop people from arguing about who they believe is the best quarterback in the NFL.

Tom Brady

Tom Brady is the best quarterback in the NFL because of his experience, his leadership, and his winning mentality. Brady has been in the league for 18 years, and during that time, he has won 7 Super Bowls. He has also been named the Super Bowl MVP a record 5 times. Brady’s leadership is unquestioned, and he has the respect of all his teammates. His winning mentality is what sets him apart from other quarterbacks. Brady always finds a way to win, even when the odds are against him.

New England Patriots

The New England Patriots are a professional American football team based in the Greater Boston area. The Patriots compete in the National Football League (NFL) as a member club of the league’s American Football Conference (AFC) East division. The team plays its home games at Gillette Stadium in the town of Foxborough, Massachusetts, which is 28 miles (45 km) southwest of downtown Boston.

The Patriots are also headquartered at Gillette Stadium. An original member of the American Football League (AFL), the Patriots joined the NFL in 1970 as part of the AFL–NFL merger. The team changed its name from the original Boston Patriots after relocating to Foxborough in 1971. The Patriots played their home games at Foxboro Stadium from 1971 to 2001, then moved to Gillette Stadium at the start of the 2002 season. The Patriots’ rivalry with the New York Jets is considered one of the most bitter rivalries in the NFL.

Bill Belichick has been head coach since 2000, making him the longest-tenured head coach in NFL history. Brian Flores is currently serving as interim head coach, having been promoted from defensive coordinator following Belichick’s resignation on January 1, 2020. Belichick and quarterback Tom Brady have combined to form one of the most successful dynasties in NFL history, winning six Super Bowls together since 2001–2002 and appearing in ten total Super Bowls, including eight straight from 2014–2021; this streak is tied for second place for consecutive appearances by a quarterback–head coach tandem.[2][3]

The Patriots own the record for most Super Bowl appearances (11), winning six of them – tied with Pittsburgh for most among teams – and appearing in three straight Super Bowls from 2016 to 2018; they are also tied with Dallas and Denver for second place for consecutiveSuper Bowl wins (three), behind only Pittsburgh’s four-year streak from 1975 to 1978.[4][5][6] With their victory over Los Angeles Rams on February 3, 2019 during Super Bowl LIII, they became tied with Pittsburgh for second place for most Lombardi trophies overall won by a franchise with six; both trails only Green Bay’s 13 total championships.[7]

6x Super Bowl Champion

Most football fans would answer that question with one word: Tom Brady. The 41-year-old quarterback has led the New England Patriots to an impressive six Super Bowl championships, more than any other player in NFL history. He’s also been named Super Bowl MVP a record four times, and he holds the league record for most passing yards and touchdown passes in a career.

In other words, when it comes to winning championships, nobody does it better than Tom Brady. But some people argue that Brady isn’t the best quarterback of all time. They point to his longevity as proof that he’s benefited from playing in an era when quarterbacks have more protection from defenders than they did in the past. They also argue that Brady has had the luxury of playing with some of the best offensive players in the league, including future Hall of Famers like tight end Rob Gronkowski and wide receiver Randy Moss.

Whether you think Tom Brady is the greatest quarterback of all time or not, there’s no denying that he’s one of the most successful players in NFL history. And with several more years left in his career, there’s a good chance that he’ll add even more championships to his already impressive legacy.

3x NFL MVP

Tom Brady has been selected 3 times as the NFL’s Most Valuable Player, in 2007, 2010 and 2017. He is also a 2-time Super Bowl MVP, winning those awards in Super Bowls XXXVI and XLIX.

This was the first time the Super Bowl had been played in North Texas.

Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers was named Super Bowl MVP, completing 24 of 39 passes for 304 yards and three touchdowns.

Drew Brees

There are a lot of great quarterbacks in the NFL, but there is only one Drew Brees. He has been a consistent performer throughout his career, and he always seems to come up big when the game is on the line. He is a leader on and off the field, and he has the respect of his teammates. He is the Most Valuable Player of the Super Bowl, and he is the all-time leader in passing yards.
