Braun Strowman’s Early Life
Braun Strowman, real name Adam Scherr, was born on September 6, 1983, in Sherrills Ford, North Carolina. Braun’s childhood was far from easy, as he was diagnosed with a life-threatening tumor in his spinal cord when he was just four years old. Thankfully, doctors were able to remove the tumor and Braun went on to lead a relatively normal childhood.

Braun’s Time in WWE
Braun Strowman is an American professional wrestler and former strongman currently signed to WWE under the Raw brand. He is a former WWE Raw Tag Team Champion, a one-time WWE Universal Champion, and a one-time WWE Intercontinental Champion.
Strowman made his professional wrestling debut in September 2013. In November 2015, he made his first appearance on WWE’s main roster, and went on to win the WWE Raw Tag Team Championship with Luke Harper in March 2016. In early 2017, Strowman became a fan favorite after he won the AndrĂ© the Giant Memorial Battle Royal at WrestleMania 33. Following this, he went on to win the Universal Championship at Crown Jewel in November 2018, making him the first of only six men to hold both the Universal and Raw Tag Team Championships simultaneously. After losing the title to Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 35 in April 2019, Strowman recaptured it from Lesnar in a triple threat match also involving Seth Rollins at Money in the Bank later that month, making him a two-time Universal Champion.
On May 19th, 2020 it was announced that Braun Strowman had been released from his WWE contract as part of budget cuts due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Braun’s Time in NXT
Braun Strowman made his NXT debut in 2015 and quickly became one of the most dominant Superstars in the black-and-gold brand. He was a two-time NXT Tag Team Champion, alongside Tyson Kidd and then Dash & Dawson, respectively. In late 2015, Strowman transitioned to singles action, and it wasn’t long before he began to make a name for himself as “The Monster Among Men.”
