On the October 31 episode of SmackDown, it was announced that due to the (storyline) injuries he suffered at Hell in a Cell, Strowman would be sidelined for six to eight weeks. On the November 6 episode of Raw, after Reigns reclaimed the Universal Championship from Lesnar in a match that lasted less than two minutes, an enraged Strowman returned and attacked both Reigns and Lesnar with steel chairs before Reigns delivered two Superman punches and a spear on Strowman to put him through the announce table.
