The Trial
In September 2020, NBA Youngboy, whose real name is Kentrell Gaulden, was arrested and charged with first-degree assault stemming from a shooting that took place in Baton Rouge, Louisiana in February 2020. If convicted, he faces up to 10 years in prison.
The victim in the shooting, identified as 18-year-old Malik Capone, was shot four times and died from his injuries.NBA Youngboy has denied any involvement in the shooting, but witnesses have come forward and given police statements implicating him as the shooter.
