During the 2019-20 season there were over 1,800 teams that participated in the Select Basketball Program across Canada.

Players who tryout for a Select basketball team will be evaluated on their skills, athleticism, and understanding of the game. Based on these evaluations, players will be placed on teams that are suited to their abilities.

Each team will have between 10 and 12 players, and each player will have the opportunity to develop their skills and compete against other teams in their league.
