The NFL regular season is winding down, and there are a few quarterbacks who are in contention for the title of leading passer. Who will come out on top?
Tom Brady
Tom Brady leads the NFL in passing with 4,577 yards. Brady is followed by Drew Brees with 4,208 yards and Philip Rivers with 4,155 yards.
Drew Brees
Drew Brees is an American football quarterback for the New Orleans Saints of the National Football League (NFL). He had a breakout season in 2004, his first year with the Saints, when he passed for 3,784 yards and had a quarterback rating of 96.2. He was elected to his first Pro Bowl that year. In 2006, he set an NFL record for completion percentage with a rate of 71.2%. Brees has led the Saints to eight winning seasons, five NFC South division championships, four NFC Championship appearances, two Super Bowl appearances, and has been selected to eleven Pro Bowls.
Brees is the NFL all-time leader in passing yards (77,416), passing touchdowns (540), and is second in career passer rating (104.7). He has also been named Super Bowl Most Valuable Player (MVP) twice – Super Bowl XLIV and Super Bowl LII – and NFC Offensive Player of the Year three times.
Ben Roethlisberger
Ben Roethlisberger currently leads the NFL in passing with 4062 yards. He is closely followed by Patrick Mahomes with 3944 yards, and Tom Brady with 3884 yards.
Philip Rivers
In 2018, Philip Rivers had the most passing yards in the NFL with 4,515. He also had the second most passing touchdowns with 32.
Aaron Rodgers
As of November 5th, 2020, Aaron Rodgers leads the NFL in passing with 2,748 yards. Deshaun Watson is in second with 2,697 yards, and Patrick Mahomes is in third with 2,626 yards.
