In a hard-fought battle against a tough SEC opponent, the Alabama Crimson Tide emerged victorious thanks to a stellar performance from freshman guard Collin Sexton Sexton scored a game-high 21 points, including 15 in the second half, to lead the Tide to a 79-74 win over the Ole Miss Rebels.

Sophomore forward Donta Hall also had a strong game for Alabama, finishing with 16 points and 10 rebounds. But it was Sexton who was the star of the show, hitting big shot after big shot down the stretch to seal the victory.

With the win, Alabama improves to 18-10 on the season and 8-7 in SEC play. They’ll next be in action on Saturday when they take on the LSU Tigers

Gurley has been a key player for Alabama all season, and is one of the leading contenders for SEC Freshman of the Year. Gurley’s strong performance helped the Tide overcome a tough opponent and continue their march towards a possible NCAA tournament berth.

The Tide was led by sophomore guard John Petty who scored 21 points, including five three-pointers. Petty was joined in double figures by freshman guard Jaden Shackelford (13 points) and junior forward Alex Reese (10 points).

The Tide got off to a hot start, jumpstarting their offense with an 18-4 run to take an early lead. Gurley Leads The Way

In a game that featured two of the nation’s top 10 teams, it was freshman phenom Jamaal Gurley who stole the show. The 6’4” Gurley, who is being touted as a possible first round pick in next year’s NBA draft scored 21 points and grabbed 11 rebounds to lead the Alabama Crimson Tide to a hard-fought 72-64 win over the Kentucky Wildcats

Gurley was at his best in the second half, scoring 15 of his 21 points after halftime. He also had a key block late in the game that helped seal the victory for Alabama. With the win, the Crimson Tide improve to 23-1 on the season, and they are now solidly in first place in the SEC conference.

Alabama Keeps Winning

The Alabama Crimson Tide continued their winning ways on Saturday with a victory over the Mississippi State Bulldogs. Led by junior guard Levi Gurley, the Tide won by a final score of 73-67.

Gurley was unstoppable in the game, pouring in a career-high 28 points to go along with 5 rebounds and 3 assists. His performance was a big reason why Alabama was able to come out on top in a close game

Gurley was efficient, shooting 8-of-15 from the field and 6-of-10 from three-point range She made all four of her free throw attempts.

This was Gurley’s second double-double of the season and the fifth of her career. With her performance, she now has 1,053 points and 549 rebounds in her college career.

The Alabama men’s Basketball team defeated the Auburn Tigers 79-68 Saturday in Auburn Arena to move to 17-11 on the season and 8-7 in SEC play. With the win, the Tide has now won four of its last five games.

Redshirt junior Donta Hall led the way for the Tide, scoring a career-high 23 points to go along with 11 rebounds and four blocks. Freshman John Petty also had a big game scoring 22 points on 6-of-9 shooting from beyond the arc.

Freshman guard Collin Sexton continued his strong play as well, scoring 19 points and dishing out six assists. Sexton has now scored 19 or more points in six straight games.

The Tide will be back in action Tuesday when they host the Ole Miss Rebels at Coleman Coliseum. Tipoff is set for 7 p.m. CT on ESPN2.

Gurley’s Outstanding Play

In Alabama’s win against Mississippi State running back Gurley ran for 122 yards and two touchdowns, caught two passes for 32 yards, and completed a 23-yard pass. He also had a key block on Amari Cooper’s game-winning touchdown catch.
