The two schools have been playing each other since 1897, making it one of the oldest rivalries in all of High School basketball. The series is currently tied at 96-96, making every game between these two teams vital.
Another important rivalry for Penn Charter is the one against Friends’ Central School. The two schools are located just a few miles apart and have been playing each other since 1899. Penn Charter currently leads the series 97-48.

“I’m really excited for the future of our program,” said Coach Bliden. “We have a great mix of experienced players and young talent that I think will help us compete at a high level for years to come.”
One of the key pieces to the puzzle will be senior point guard Malik Wilkes. Wilkes has been with the program for four years and has been a starter since his sophomore season.
“Malik is a true leader on and off the court,” said Coach Bliden. “He does a great job of setting the tone for our team with his work ethic and positive attitude ”
Wilkes will be joined by fellow seniors, David Diodato and Matt Tonelli, as well as junior big man, Liam Murphy. This core group of players will provide experience and leadership that will be crucial in helping this team reach its full potential.
“I’m really proud of the progress we’ve made over the past few years,” said Coach Bliden. “We’ve put in a lot of hard work and I think it’s starting to pay off. I’m excited to see what this group can do in the coming years.”
