Catchers

There are two primary types of catch in baseball, the first being the more traditional backstop who receives pitches that end up in the dirt and blocks home plate from errant throws while the second is known as a pitch-framer. A good pitch-framer will have quick hands to “steal” strikes for their pitchers by making catches look like strikes to umpires even when they aren’t. LSU has been fortunate to have had several top-tier catchers over the years, and the 2022 lineup looks to continue that tradition.
