It was a season to remember for Washington Township baseball. The team went undefeated in the regular season won the conference championship and made it to the state semifinals.
The team was led by senior pitcher Jake Johnson, who was named the conference player of the year. Jake had a spectacular season, going 10-0 on the mound with a 1.39 ERA. He also hit .360 at the plate with 3 home runs and 22 RBIs.
The team’s success was due to its strong pitching staff and its ability to hit in key situations. The team’s top three pitchers – Jake Johnson, Dylan Shaw, and Nick Toscano – combined for 22 wins and just 4 losses. The team also hit .276 as a unit, with 7 players hitting over .300.
