If you are looking for a fun and easy Baseball Project look no further than this tutorial on how to make your own baseball bracelets!
Introduction
Crafting your own baseball bracelets is a fun and creative way to support your favorite team You can make them using items you probably have around the house, like old t-shirts and pieces of string. With a little bit of effort, you can create unique bracelets that express your personality and show your support for your team.
Materials
--baseball stitching needle
--baseball leather laces
-pair of pliers
-pen or pencil
-a cutting tool (X-ACTO knife, scissors, or box cutter)
First, cut two strips of leather lace about 8 inches long. If you want your bracelet to be adjustable, make sure to leave a little extra slack at either end of the strip.
Step One
The first step is to gather your supplies. For this project you will need: embroidery thread, a tapestry needle, scissors, and a metal washer. You will also need something to help keep your thread from tangling; I like to use a piece of tape on the end of my thread. Once you have all of your supplies gathered, you are ready to start!
Step Two
Now that you have all of your supplies, it’s time to get started on your bracelet! Step two is to measure out the length of cord you will need. To do this, simply wrap the cord around your wrist and mark where it overlaps. Then, add an extra inch or two to this measurement to allow for tying the bracelet off. Cut the cord at this point and set it aside.
Step Three
Now that you have all of your supplies, you are ready to begin making your own baseball bracelet! The first step is to measure your wrist so that you know how long to make the bracelet. Next, cut a piece of string or yarn that is twice the length of your wrist measurement. Once you have cut the string, fold it in half and tie a knot at the folded end. Then, thread your pony beads onto the string, using as many or as few as you like. When you have finished threading the beads, tie another knot at the end of the string to secure them in place. Finally, cut any excess string from the ends of the bracelet. Now you have a one-of-a-kind bracelet that is perfect for showing your support for your favorite team!
Step Four
4. Decide on the style of bracelet you want to make. You can choose from a basic braid, a fishtail braid, a five-strand braid, or a six-strand braid. If you want to add beads to your bracelet, you will need to thread them onto the string before you start braiding.
Step Five
Now that the wire is in place, it’s time to start threading on the beads! Begin with one of your larger beads, and then start threading on a variety of colors and sizes. Don’t worry if they don’t all fit perfectly – you can always adjust them later. Once you’re happy with the arrangement, carefully slide the beads up so that they’re all snug against the clasp.
Step Six
Cut two pieces of string, each about 18 inches long. Secure one end of each string to the top outside corner of the bracelet, on the wrong side. This will be the part of the bracelet that goes over your hand. Braid the strings together, then tie a knot at the other end to secure. Trim any excess string.
Step Seven
Now that all of the rubber bands are on the loom, it’s time to start weaving! Weaving is simple: just lift up every other band (like in the photo) and put the loom hook underneath it. Then, put the hook back over the top of the next band. Keep doing this until you reach the end of the row!
Finishing Up
Now that you know how to make your own baseball bracelets, it’s time to finish up. First, cut the excess string from the bracelets. Next, use a lighter to carefully melt the ends of the string so they don’t fray. Finally, enjoy your new bracelets!
