After much anticipation, the Millersville Baseball roster is finally here! The team is made up of a mix of veteran players and newcomers, and is sure to be a force to be reckoned with on the diamond this season. Get to know the team below.

A Quick Look at the Roster
The Millersville Baseball Roster is finally here, and we have a quick look at the team for you! The roster includes 28 players, 21 of which are underclassmen. There are also seven new transfers, so this team looks very different than last year’s squad.

The Infield
The Millersville Baseball Roster is Finally Here! After months of waiting, the roster for the upcoming season has finally been released. The team looks to be very strong this year, with a solid mix of veterans and newcomers. Here is a look at the infielders who will be suiting up for the Marauders this season:
1. Matt Miller – Senior – First Base
2. Steve Johnson – Sophomore – Second Base
3. Mike Beard – Freshman – Shortstop
4. Alex Brinkman – Freshman – Third Base
5. Nate Wilkinson – Senior – Catcher
The Marauders will be looking to Matt Miller to provide some stability at first base. He is a four-year starter and was recently named a Preseason All-American by Collegiate Baseball News. Steve Johnson came on strong towards the end of last season and will look to build on that success in his sophomore campaign. Mike Beard is an extremely talented freshman who should make an immediate impact at shortstop. Alex Brinkman and Nate Wilkinson round out the infield and will provide some much-needed veteran leadership.
The Outfield
The outfield for the 2018 baseball season is going to be extremely talented and dangerous. All three starters are returning from last year and they have added some key recruits to the mix. The outfield will be a big part of the team’s success this season.
The starters in the outfield are senior, Austin Sheely, junior, Ryan Higgs, and sophomore, Evan Rice. Sheely is a left-handed hitter who is extremely versatile. He can play all three field positions and he has a great arm. Higgs is a right-handed hitter who is also very versatile. He can play all three outfield positions and he has a great arm as well. Rice is a left-handed hitter who can play all three outfield positions. He has a great arm and he is extremely quick.
The backups in the outfield are freshmen, Kobe Johnson and Drew Miller. Johnson is a left-handed hitter who can play all three outfield positions. He has a great arm and he is very fast. Miller is a right-handed hitter who can play all three outfield positions as well. He has a great arm and he is also very fast.”
The Pitchers
The Millersville baseball roster is finally here, and we’ve got some great pitchers lined up for the season. We’ve got a mix of veterans and newcomers, so there’s sure to be something for everyone. Here’s a look at who we’ve got on the mound this year:
--Tommy John A veteran pitcher with a lot of experience, Tommy is sure to be a key asset on the team. He’s a hard worker and always gives 100%, so we’re expecting great things from him this season.
-Bobby Joe: A newcomer to the team, Bobby Joe has already shown us what he’s capable of. He’s got a powerful arm and GREAT control, so we’re looking forward to seeing what he can do on the mound.
-Jimmy Sundae: Another veteran pitcher, Jimmy is a fan favorite thanks to his fun personality and his love of the game. He may not be the most talented pitcher out there, but he always gives it his all and is always a lot of fun to watch.

The Schedule
The Millersville University baseball team finally released their schedule for the upcoming season and it is packed with 56 games, 27 of which are at home in beautiful Biemesderfer Stadium. The team will open up their season on February 28th against the Kutztown Golden Bears and close it out on May 16th against the Lock Haven Bald Eagles.
Some of the key games on the schedule include a four-game series against Indiana (PA) to open up conference play three games at West Chester and the final regular season series against East Stroudsburg

The fans are confident that the team has what it takes to make a run at the conference title And they’re eager to see how the new additions to the roster will impact the team’s performance.
“We’re loaded with talent,” said one fan. “And I think we have a real chance to make some noise in the postseason.”
The team’s first game is just a few days away, and the fans are counting down the hours. It’s going to be a great season!
