The team will have a total of 34 games this season. 28 of those games will be played at their home stadium, while 6 will be played away. 4 of the team’s starters are seniors, while the rest are underclassmen. The team is coached by Jackie Sherrill and his staff.

The Nittany Lions have some big shoes to fill after losing several Key Players from last year’s roster, but coach Rob Cooper has put together a strong team that is ready to compete. The Penn State baseball team is pleased to announce its finalized roster for the 2018 season. This year’s team will feature 25 players, 11 of which are returnees from last year. The Nittany Lions will be looking to build on their 2017 campaign in which they went 18-34 overall and 3-13 in Big Ten play.

This year’s team will be led by senior infielder Conlin Hughes, who was a Second Team All-Big Ten selection last year. Hughes will be joined by fellow seniors Jim Haley, Evan Rubin, and Dalton Bishoff as well as junior Dylan Steinberg to form the core of the lineup. On the mound, the Nittany Lions will be anchored by junior ace Justin Hagenman as well as senior starter Liam Dauer and junior reliever Zach Wheatley.

The Schedule
The 2018 season begins on February 16th with a three game series against West Virginia in Morgantown. The home opener at Medlar Field at Lubrano Park is set for March 2nd against Bucknell. conference play begins on March 23rd with a three game series at Ohio State
