The History of Tyler Legacy Baseball
Tyler legacy baseball was founded in 2006 as a 501(c)3 non-profit organization The mission of Tyler Legacy Baseball is to promote, develop, supervise, and voluntarily assist in all lawful ways the amateur sport of baseball in Tyler and the surrounding areas.
Tyler Legacy Baseball is a Select Baseball organization that focuses on developing young ballplayers into not only better baseball players but also better young men. We stress the importance of education, hard work and dedication both on and off the field.
Since its inception, Tyler Legacy Baseball has seen many successful teams and amazing young men come through its ranks. We have had players drafted by MLB teams, go on to play college baseball at some of the nation’s top programs and we even have a few alumni currently playing professional baseball
We are proud of the legacy that our program has built over the last decade and look forward to continued success in the years to come!
The Team’s Greatest Moments
The Tyler Legacy baseball team has had many great moments over the years. Here are just a few of the team’s most memorable moments:
-In 2001, the team won their first ever League Championship
-In 2002, the team made it to the playoffs for the first time in franchise history.
-In 2003, the team won their first ever Playoff Game
-In 2004, the team won their second consecutive League Championship
-In 2005, the team made it to the playoffs for the third consecutive year.
-In 2006, the team won their third consecutive league championship.
The Players Who Made Tyler Legacy Baseball Great
Tyler Legacy baseball was a relatively short-lived Baseball Team but in their brief time in existence, they made a considerable impact on the game. The team was made up of players who were passionate about the sport and who had a great deal of skill. Here is a look at some of the players who made Tyler Legacy baseball great.
One of the most talented players on the team was third baseman Mike Moustakas. Moustakas was known for his strong arm and his ability to hit for power. He helped the team to a win in their very first game, and he continued to be a key player throughout their brief time in existence.
Another key player was first baseman Eric Hosmer. Hosmer was known for his ability to hit for average and for his power hitting. He was one of the team’s best hitters, and he helped them to many wins.

For Tyler Legacy Baseball, we are lucky to have some of the most dedicated and passionate fans in all of minor League Baseball From our very first season, Tyler Legacy fans have shown their support for the team, both on and off the field.
In our inaugural season, we saw average attendance at Legacy Stadium increase by 30% over the previous year. This was thanks in part to some of our Biggest Fans who came out to every game and cheered on the team. We also had some great community support, with local businesses donating food and drinks for our concession stands.
As we move into our second season, we want to say thank you to all of our fans, both old and new. We promise to continue to provide an exciting and enjoyable experience at Legacy Stadium. We hope to see you all out at the ballpark soon!

Since its humble beginnings in 1925, Tyler Legacy Baseball has established itself as one of the most successful baseball programs in the country. With over 1,200 wins and 26 conference championships the program has produced numerous major league baseball (MLB) players and has been a perennial powerhouse at the collegiate level. Despite its success, Tyler Legacy Baseball is often overshadowed by its more high-profile counterparts. Nevertheless, the program has had a significant impact on the sport of baseball, both at the local and national level.
At the local level, Tyler Legacy Baseball has helped to develop numerous players who have gone on to have successful careers in Professional Baseball Among these players is Ryan Howard, who played for Tyler Legacy from 1999-2001. Howard is a two-time MLB All-Star and was named National League Rookie of the Year in 2005. He is also the only player in MLB history to win both the Rookie of the Year and Most Valuable Player (MVP) Awards in the same season. Other notable alumni include Jered Weaver, David Price, and Mike Minor
