The league offers baseball for Boys and Girls ages 4-18, with divisions for all skill levels.

The Early Years

Waynedale Baseball was founded in 1954 by local residents who wanted to give the kids of the community something constructive to do during the summer months. The first games were played on a makeshift diamond behind the Waynedale Garage on Old 30. In those early years, the league was known as the Waynedale Boys baseball league A few years later, the name was changed to Waynedale Little League.

Over the years, the league has undergone many changes. In 1957, girls were allowed to play for the first time and the league became co-ed. In 1975, boundaries were established and Waynedale became part of District 2. Before that time, Waynedale had been free to draw players from anywhere within Wayne County

The most significant change came in 1999 when Little League International reorganized its district structure and Waynedale found itself in District 5. That realignment increasedWaynedale’s territory from Wayne county to include Ashland, Holmes, Medina and Richland counties. It also meant thatWaynedale could no longer draw players from outside its geographical boundaries.

The First Team

Waynedale Baseball was founded in 2015 by a group of passionate baseball fans who wanted to create a league that was inclusive and fun for everyone. The first team, the Waynedale Wildcats, was formed that year and they quickly became a force to be reckoned with.

The team is made up of players from all over the world, including the United States Canada, Japan, and Venezuela. They play their home games at Waynedale Park in Cleveland, Ohio.

The Waynedale Wildcats are a true underdog story. They have persevered through tough times and adversity to become one of the most successful teams in the league. In just their third season, they won the Championship Title

The Golden Era

From the late 1940s to the early 1960s, Waynedale baseball was a force to be reckoned with. The league boasted some of the best players in the country and regularly sent teams to compete in regional and national tournaments. During this golden era Waynedale baseball was truly a league of their own.

The Modern Era

Since the inception of baseball, the game has continued to evolve. As the years progressed, new technologies and ideas were introduced which changed the way the game was played. In the modern ERA baseball has become a global game with players coming from all over the world to compete at the highest levels.

The most significant change in recent years has been the introduction of instant replay. This technology allows managers and players to challenge calls on the field, ensuring that all calls are made correctly. This has led to a more fair and accurate game, and has helped to eliminate some of the human error that can occur during a game.

Another important change in baseball has been the use of performance-enhancing drugs While these drugs have been used throughout history, they have only become a major issue in recent years The use of performance-enhancing drugs can give players an unfair advantage, and can lead to serious health problems down the road. As such, their use is strictly prohibited in professional baseball

The modern Era of Baseball has seen many changes, both on and off the field. These changes have made the game more fair and competitive, and have helped to grow its popularity around the world.
