App State Women’s Basketball: The Team to Watch
The Appalachian State University women’s basketball team is one to Watch This Season The Mountaineers have an impressive record and are ranked high in several polls, including ESPN and Facebook.
The team’s success is due in part to the strong play of its two captains, Junior guard Celia Spicer and Senior forward Anna Wilma. Spicer was recently named the Sun Belt Conference Player of the Year, and Wilma was named to the All-Sun Belt Conference Second Team.

App State Women’s Basketball: A New Era
The App State women’s Basketball team is starting a new era this season. The Mountaineers have a new Head Coach Lindsey Buchanan, and a new home court Coach Buchanan comes to App State from George Mason where she was an Assistant Coach for the last two seasons. The Mountaineers will play their home games at the Holmes Center this season.
