Of that group, six currently have losing records in conference play The three exceptions are Tennessee (8-5), Arkansas (9-4) and LSU (10-3).
Auburn’s Away Record
In order to be a true championship contender, a team must be able to win on the road. This year’s Auburn squad has shown that they can do just that, boasting an impressive 10-4 record in true away games. When looking at how this compares to the rest of the SEC, it is clear that Auburn is one of the best in the conference at winning away from home. This bodes well for their chances of making a run in the NCAA Tournament

Auburn’s free throw Percentage
In basketball, Free throws are worth one point each and are taken from the Free Throw Line which is located 15 feet from the basket. The key to success at the free throw line is consistency, and that’s something that Auburn has struggled with at times this season.
Auburn is currently shooting just 66.7 percent from the free throw line as a team, which ranks 11th in the SEC and 276th nationally. That number is even more lackluster when you consider that the Tigers are only shooting 60.4 percent from the line in conference games, which is last in the SEC.
One of Auburn’s main issues has been its inability to make Free throws in crunch time. In games where the margin has been five points or less with five minutes or less to play, the Tigers re shooting just 61.1 percent from the Foul Line That number drops to an abysmal 50 percent when looking at games where the margin has been three points or less with three minutes or less to play.
Bottom line: if Auburn wants to have any chance of success in March, it needs to start making its free throws

Auburn’s rebounds per game have increased steadily over the past few years. The Tigers averaged 41.5 rebounds per game during the 2017-2018 season up from 39.1 the previous year. This number has been on the rise since Auburn hired Head Coach Bruce Pearl in 2014.
Auburn has a Number of players who are strong rebounders, including center Austin Wiley and forward Danjel Purifoy. The team’s rebounding prowess has helped them to be one of the top teams in the SEC.
It is clear that Auburn’s emphasis on rebounding has paid off, and it will be interesting to see if they can continue to improve in this area.
