Cal U Baseball’s Schedule is Packed This Season

This season is shaping up to be a busy one for Cal U Baseball Check out their schedule to see when they’ll be in action.

Introduction

The California University Of Pennsylvania Vulcans baseball team is set to have a busy spring season, with 43 games scheduled from February through May. The Vulcans will play 29 games at home at the Roaden University Center, including 14 weekend series.

The Vulcans’ home opener is set for Friday, March 1, against Concordia (N.Y.) College. First pitch is scheduled for 3 p.m.

Cal U will be tested early in the season with road series against West Virginia Wesleyan (Feb. 22-24), Ohio Dominican (March 8-10) and Mercyhurst (March 15-17).

The Schedule

The Team

This season, the Cal U Vulcans Baseball Team is looking to improve on their 13-30 record from last year. They have 23 games at home this season and 14 on the road. They will play a total of 40 games in the regular season Their first game is on Friday, February 28th against the West Virginia Wesleyan Bobcats.

The team is led by Senior catcher Andrew Graham, who was named to the All-Conference second team last year. Other Key Players include Senior infielder Stone Shelton, Junior outfielder Dylan Thompson and Sophomore pitcher Nate Boone.

The Vulcans have a lot of young talent that they are looking to develop this season. Freshman infielder/outfielder Trey Jacobs and Freshman pitcher Carter Turyna are two players to keep an eye on this season.

The Fans

With the release of the full schedule, fans of the Cal U baseball team can start planning their game-day experience. The Vulcans will play a total of 56 games this season, including 28 at home. That home slate is packed with challenging opponents, exciting promotions and giveaways, and opportunities to support the team in their quest for a conference title

The Rivalries

The California University of Pennsylvania Vulcans baseball team has a packed schedule this season, with plenty of heated rivalries. The Vulcans will take on the Edinboro Fighting Scots, the Slippery Rock University Rockers, and the Clarion Golden Eagles among others.

Rivalries are always intense in college baseball but they mean even more to the Vulcans this season. The team is looking to improve on their conference record from last year, when they went 14-8. They’ll need to be at their best against their biggest rivals.

Edinboro is always a tough opponent, and the Scots will be looking for revenge after the Vulcans beat them in last year’s conference tournament Slippery Rock is also a dangerous team, and the rivalry between these two schools is always intense. Clarion will also be a tough test, as they’re one of the top teams in the conference.

The Vulcans have their work cut out for them this season, but they’re up for the challenge. They’ll need to be at their best against their biggest rivals if they want to win another conference title

The History

The Vulcans have a loaded schedule this season, with 44 games in just over two months. The team will play 27 home games and 17 away games. The Vulcans will face stiff competition, with 22 of their opponents coming from Division I schools. The Vulcans finished last season with a record of 25-19, and will look to build on that success this season. The team is led by senior captain Nick D’Alessandro, who is entering his fourth year with the team. The Vulcans are coached by Tim Parenton, who is entering his second season at the helm.

The Tradition

Since 1896, college baseball has been a tradition at California University of Pennsylvania. Though the Vulcans have seen their share of success over the years, the team is looking to start a new tradition this season: winning it all.

With 36 games scheduled and only 26 roster spots to fill, the Vulcans will have to be selective with their lineup each game. But with a wealth of talent on the team, they should have no trouble putting together a competitive squad.

The Vulcans will open their season on February 15th against St. Joseph’s College, and they will close it out on May 16th against West Virginia Wesleyan University In between, they will face off against some of the best teams in Division II baseball
