His mother, Janet Templeton, was a former art student who posed for a nude portrait in the late 1960s that launched her career as a New York socialite. Sheen has two older brothers, Emilio and Ramon, and a younger sister, Renée. His parents divorced in 1974.
Health
Charlie Sheen’s health has been a major concern throughout his career. He has battled drug addiction and mental health issues for many years. In 2010, Sheen was hospitalized for a drug overdose. In 2015, he was diagnosed with HIV. Despite these challenges, Sheen has continued to work consistently in television and film.
Legal problems
While playing for the Reds, Sheen was suspended three times by Major League Baseball (MLB) for off-field altercations. In December 1989, Sheen was arrested following an incident in which he allegedly fired a .22 caliber pistol into his fiancée’s car while she was seated inside. The incident resulted in Sheen being charged with multiple felonies, including assault with a deadly weapon and recklessly causing great bodily injury. He was initially sentenced to 120 days in jail, 30 days of which were suspended, and given three years’ probation. In March 1990, Sheen plead no contest to the charges and was sentenced to 60 days in rehab, 30 days of which were suspended.
In August 1990, Sheen married model Donna Peele. The couple’s first child, daughter Cassandra Jade Estevez, was born on December 12, 1984. On May 2, 1986, Sheen’s brother Emilio Estevez married actress Demi Moore.
On December 25, 1996, Sheen’s fiancée Brittany Ashland filed a $5 million lawsuit against him alleging that he had physically assaulted her on multiple occasions between 1990 and 1996. In September 1997, a Los Angeles court ruled that Ashland could not sue Sheen for civil damages because she had waited too long to file the lawsuit.
In October 1998, Sheen married model Denise Richards. The couple’s first child, daughter Sam J. Sheen, was born on March 9, 2004. On June 1st 2005 Denise Richards filed for divorce from Charlie Sheen citing “irreconcilable differences”. The divorce became final on November 30th 2006.

Charlie Sheen was found dead at his home in Hollywood today. The actor, whose Baseball Career fizzled out after a few years in the Minor Leagues, was best known for his roles in films like Platoon, Wall Street and Hot Shots!.
