The history of Cherry Creek Baseball

The Cherry Creek School District has a long and proud tradition of excellence in athletics, and baseball is no exception.

Cherry Creek High School has won 21 State Championships in baseball, more than any other school in Colorado. The team has also been nationally ranked on several occasions, most recently in 2011.

The success of the program can be traced back to the early days of the school, when the team won its first state title in 1963. Since then, Cherry Creek has established itself as one of the Premier Baseball programs in the state, winning titles in 1965, 1966, 1967, 1968, 1970, 1972, 1974, 1976, 1980, 1982, 1985, 1987, 1989, 1991, 1994, 1997, 2001, 2004 and 2011.

The team’s success is due in large part to the dedication of the Coaching Staff and players who have worn the Cherry Creek uniform over the years. Many of those players have gone on to successful careers in professional baseball
