Chesapeake College Baseball Announces 2022 Schedule
Chesapeake college baseball has announced their 2022 schedule. The team will open their season on February 18th with a three-game series against Penn State Mont Alto They will also play host to West Virginia University Institute of Technology on February 25th-26th.
Introduction
The Chesapeake College baseball team has finalized its schedule for the 2022 season. The team will play 34 games, including 28 contests against Region XX opponents.
The Seahawks will open the season on February 4th with a road game against Harford Community College The home opener is scheduled for February 8th against Frederick Community College
Chesapeake will play each of its Region XX opponents four times during the regular season In addition to Harford and Frederick, the Seahawks will also face off against Anne Arundel Community College Montgomery College, Cecil College, and Howard Community College
The Seahawks will close out the regular season with a three-game home series against Anne Arundel CC from May 13th-15th. The Region XX tournament is scheduled to begin on May 19th.
The Schedule
The Schedule is as follows:
Chesapeake College will open its 2022 Regular Season schedule with a four-game series at home against Anne Arundel Community College on March 3-6. The Seahawks will then hit the road for a four-game series at Harford Community College on March 10-13 before returning home to host CCBC Catonsville in a four-game series on March 17-20.
Chesapeake will travel to Cecil College for a four-game set on March 24-27 before heading south to take on Brunswick Community College in a four-game series on March 31- April 3. The Seahawks return home for an eight-game homestand, which includes two quadruple headers. CCBC Essex will visit for a four game set on April 7-10 followed by a visit from Prince George’s Community College for four games on April 14-17.
The Seahawks then head out for an eight game road trip They’ll start the trip with a four game series at Montgomery College on April 21&22 followed by a doubleheader at Howard Community College on April 23. CCBC Dundalk is next up with a four game set at home against the Seahawks on April 28&29. Chesapeake wraps up its string of away games with another doubleheader, this time at Northern Virginia Community College on April 30.
The Seahawks return home to close out the regular season with an eight game homestand which starts with CCBC Baltimore County in town for four games on May 5&6. After hosting Harford Community College in a doubleheader on May 7, Chesapeake welcomes District of Columbia Community College for four games on May 12&13 to close out the Regular Season schedule.
The Team
The team will play a 56-game regular season schedule that opens on Feb. 18 and runs through May 28. The schedule features 28 home games 27 road games, and one neutral site game.
The Spartans will open the season at home against Millersville University on Feb. 18-20. They will then hit the road for a four-game series at Kutztown University (Feb. 25-27) before returning home to host Shepherd University (March 4-6).
Big South Conference foes Liberty University (March 11-13), Longwood University (March 18-20), and Charleston Southern University (April 8-10) will visit Sparrows Point for three-game series, while the Spartans will travel to take on Presbyterian College (March 25-27), Gardner-Webb University (April 1-3), and Campbell University (April 15-17).
The team’s nonconference slate includes home games against West Virginia State University (April 22), Navy (May 12), George Mason University (May 16), Mount St. Mary’s University (May 20), and Towson University (May 25), as well as road contests at UMBC (Apr. 27), George Washington University (May 3), Coppin State University (May 6), Loyola Blakefield High School (May 13), McDonogh School (May 14), Harford Community College (May 17), St. Mary’s College of Maryland (May 24), and Johns Hopkins University (May 26).

The Future
Chesapeake college baseball has announced their 2022 schedule. The team will open their season on the road against West Virginia University on February 18th. They will play a total of 56 games, 28 of them being home games Some of the teams they will face include Penn State Ohio State and Indiana.
The team is made up of largely freshman and sophomores with a few upperclassmen. They will be looking to build on their recent success and make a run at the playoffs.
