Why the Tigers could be a force to reckon with this season
The Clemson Tigers baseball team is gearing up for what looks to be a promising season. With a strong lineup of players, the Tigers are looking to make some noise in the upcoming year.
One of the reasons why the Tigers could be a force to reckon with this season is their pitching staff. The staff is led by senior right-hander Ryley Gilliam, who is coming off a terrific junior campaign. Gilliam led the team with a 2.48 ERA and 70 strikeouts last season, and he will look to build on that success in his final year with the Tigers.
Another key player for the Tigers is junior first baseman Chris Williams. Williams was one of the top power hitters in college baseball last season, hitting 18 home runs and driving in 60 runs. He will look to provide some much-needed pop in the middle of the lineup this season.
The Tigers also have a number of other talented players that will help them contend this season. Sophomore second baseman Jordan Greene is a former top High School prospect that has a lot of potential. Outfielders Seth Beer and Logan Davidson are two more players that could have big seasons for Clemson.
If everything comes together, the Clemson Tigers could be a team to watch out for this college baseball season
